Battle Intel: A gas mining colony orbitting Saturn has come under a rogue faction's control and the MMA has been commissioned by the Saturn System Authority to whipe out the rogue occupation.
The Mining colony itself is very large and known to all as abandoned, but is still the property of the Saturn System Authority and to be taken back.

Andres fiddled with the right thruster stick to get a feel for the zero G thruster set up and after a moment or two performed a short 180 and aimed the suit's shoulder mounted beam cannons at an asteroid before wheeling back around as his radar went off.
The domed circular display at center showed several blips moving in from several hundred meters and his radio went off.
"Don't forget your objective. Destroy the enemies. The Dante's fury comes second."
Andreis nodded to himself and with a quick controlled zoom, affirmed the enemy identity.
A pheonix squadron.
Surely they would not assault the battle carrier directly, solving the need to defend the battle capable ship. Surely, though, they would be a force to be reckoned with.

Andreis acquired the first target that came in range and opened up a can off heavy beam fire, catching them off guard.
A flash of colour lit up the silence of space and Andreis' smirked, pushing foreward the throttle sticks, the commando ashing foreward towards the oncoming enemies.

-- Graves, Issac has joined -- the Computer Chirped
Grendal was shot out of the under belly of The Dante's Fury. Issac fired the main thruster for three seconds and invereed his mech for a decel burn. Lazialy he targeted a Phoenix and blew its head off with his coil gun, he compensated with Grendal's leg jets and fired again. The coil gun had recyled and he thumbed the trigger again.
"I really need to get an AMBACs system" he sighed as he realigned Grendal "And I need to run a diognostic on the targeting. That last one was close but not good enough."
The damaged Phoenix let loose a missle barage. Issac shot the coil gun wildly, without aiming to dodge. The shot managed to take out a missle or two before impacting against the Phoenix's mid-section, It lost too much power en route and barely damaged it.
Grendal had propelled itself away from the barage, a missle had streaked over the cockpit, and a dud had hit the arm.
"Ha, better luck next time!" Issac yelled, not caring if he was heard or not "now for my next trick, stoping a fly away mech!!"

Auron's Boom Shot was spat out of the underbelly of The Dante's Fury, floating freely through space "well, i guess its time to use that beam rifle i got" auron said, making his mech pull out its beam rifle "lock and load" auron said, firing it at the damaged Phoenix model, blowing it apart "too easy"

"well, you guys look like you could use some help" auron said, using his thrusters to jet over to Issac and his mech, stopping it from flying backwards "names auron, glad to meet you---" aurons words trailed off as he noticed Issac's face on the monitor "wait, your that guy who was with that stuck up officer at the Greasy Bolt a little bit ago"

"Welcome Auron.. Graves..."
Andreis voiced over with confidence to each before pulling his mech into a reverse directioned thrust, the side, backpack thrusters twirling to face from and burning brightly for a split second as a Phoenix came tearing town with machine guns blaring JUST where Andreis' was.
Andreis trailed the phoenix with a compliment of SMG fire from the right arm gun of his mech, moving to close in on the now damaged bird that came around for another pass.
He glanced at his radar seeing another 5 blips coming in on his radar, and picked up on what Auron said.
"Not the time, private."
Andreis held the heavy shield at front as several small missles impacted on the layers of metal, sending fragments in all directions.
The mech then ashed foreward into the path of the phoenix, shield smashing it in the underside and sending it spiraling in smoke.
A quick pull of the trigger turned the easy target into debris as a thick white light tore the phoenix to peices from the Commando Custom.
"Man! This thing feels sluggish!"
Andreis groaned about the heavy mech but quickly remembered the 5 foreign blips.
Another pheonix came at him.
"Auron, Grave's, Identify enemy at 20057!"
Andreis voice was quick and commanding as he narrowly avoided a compliment of missles.

((Auron. Don't get too good on us. Blowing apart a mech from affar with a beam weapon is a nice intro, but remember to make it tough for yourself as well sometimes. Kay? Its more fun that way too, like what I just did. Still good, but still not overpowered.
Oh and the Enemy can be more phoneix (Different loadout) or some variant of the Commando design.))

auron then used his computer to identify the enemy mechs "oh crap, we got a commando, and 4 phoenix incoming" auron said, using his thrusters to move into position "here they come"
[1 commando, 4 phoenix spotted]
"time to use some heavier firepower" auron said, hanging the beam rifle on his back, then activating his twin gatling guns "ok, lets do this" auron said, firing a short burst of gatling gun fire at the commando, which fired back a spray of machine gun fire, damaging the Boom Shot's left arm "dang it, just blow up already" auron shouted, firing his gatling guns at the commando, damaging its right arm badly "alright, time to finish it" auron said, firing a large spread of gatling gun bullets at the commando, damaging its remaining arm, and hitting the cockpit a little "ok, care to do the honors, Andreis?" auron said, turning to the 4 phoenix, then jetting towards them

((I don't mind if you are a little more powered than that, but that is good.))
As his commando flew foreward with machine gun fire peppering his armour, Andreis' quickly swatted a mostly avoided missle with his battered and damaged shield, throwing it's not yet detonated form spiraling away before it exploded in a fiery ball some ways behind him. Two other missles swept by his backside, missing and making a long arc to come around again.
He spun the Commando around with a control thrust rapidly and unleased a half calculated hail of rounds that took out one of the missles, misdirecting the other with the explosion and causing it to simply malfunction.
Not a second after this action was finished did Andreis hear Auron's voice over the comm followed by a lock alert.
"Damnit! Can't now Auron!"
Andreis yelled as spun the Commando around to see a full blown barrage of missles coming towards him rapidly. No time to think Andreis pulled back on the trigger only to hear a rythmic click click click sound and no rapid hum - bam! Sounds.
He was out of ammo.
Without the time needed to reload, Andreis released the SMG and braced for impact with his shield as somewhere around seven missles bombarded his mech.
The explosions and light from the impact were much greater than expected and once could not be sure the mech survived it as chunks of metal and composite flew from the smoke now engulfing the area.
The proverbial silence was broken by a bright white flash that pierced and dispersed the smoke around it.
Shield utterly destroyed and heavy armour smoking and tattered, Andreis floated still for a moment, but as the two strafing pheonix came near, the Commando HAV lashed out violently, it's blue white beam sabre cutting into the nearest phoenix and narrowly missing the next.
The phoenix that was hit explosively decrompressed inside and the engine overheated rapidly, causing a visible red hot spot on the armour before the inevitable happened aand they entire mech exploded into a fiery ball that forced the other phoenix to make an arc away.
"You aren't leaving..."
Andreis muttered with the opportunity and targetted the force fleeing phoenix, unleasing a full blast of his beam cannons, tearing it apart as it left.

Grendal had floated to the relative above of the battle. Issac fired his main thruster and charged at the Phoenix he had damaged earlier, letting loose with his pulsed lasers. The armor started to boil awayfrom the torso due to the heat generated. Issac was close enough to see that warning lights were going off in the cockpit of the enemy mech. A coolant leak, the lines going into the reactor must have been severed.
The Phoenix exploded green.

The explosin had thrown Issac back toward The Dante's Fury, He made contact with the hull. The magnetic properties of the ships hull allowed him to stand an walk as if the Grendal were submerged in water.
"This is really starting to get old." Issac complained He truged Grndal to the bow of the ship, the point nearest the battle.

((Wanting to anchor to an astreoid? Well we are above the farther ring of saturn... that is all I can think of. Above means safe parameters above the very thick rings. So if you want to have a rock in the belt be close enough to just thrust over to. Probably a kilometer or so down from the ship, you could.))
Still eight phoenix. The battle was already getting old to Andreis. He appreciated the fire power of the beam cannons especially, but he was just not used to how unagile this thing was.
With the short break in his area, Andreis retrieved the SMG that was floating in space and after some manuevering, put it in it's magnetic clamp. It was unusable for this battle as he had severed the power cabled when he ejected it and it was hard to position it for reattachment without having it properly in the magentic clamp or without help.
Andreis did a quick scan of the area and shot off towards the general concentration of phoenix who were convering on The Dante's Fury and Auron.
He had drifted an aweful long ways from the bulk of the battle in his furios fight so he threw the thrusters into full power for about two seconds and then cut them, drifting quickly towards the enemies.
"Graves. What is your position? I lost you."

((well, this is turning into tons of fun))
"Andreis, status report, how many enemies are left near you?" auron radioed, as he armed his beam rifle, then fired it at a phoenix, blowing its arms off "well, that leaves 3" auron said, aiming at the next phoenix as it launched a missle volley "oh crap" auron fired his beam rifle at the missles, causing most of them to explode, although a few hit him in the left arm, disabling it "aw crap, they got my left arm" auron radioed to Andreis "requesting backup, i cant hold them off with one arm"

"thats it, i think i should return to the Dante's Fury while i try and fix this arm" auron said, turning around a boosting back towards the ship "three phoenix, inbound for the Dante's Fury, engage ASAP" auron said over the radio, jetting behind the Dante's Fury

At full speed Andreis cruised towards Auron and the phoenix mechs converging on the Dante's fury.
"Enemies in my area eradicated. I drifted in the fight and am on my way back over. I see you and some phoenix are you alr-"
Andreis paused when he heard the "Oh crap" and listened intently, pushing the mech's boosters just a little farther. Dipping EVER so slightly into the red.
The range finder on his main view screen counted the range to each Phoenix. The numbers were red meaning they were out of range of all weapons.
When they turned blue they were in shootable range of the beam cannons.
"Alright. Go get fixed up. The Fury can handle a few Phoenix long enough for us to finish em off."
Just then the range finder on the nearest phoenix turned blue and began to count down faster. These ones had long range sensors.
The HAV roared to a halt over the course of several hundred feet with reverse thrusters and was hurled into reverse.
A few bullets from machine guns pinged off the heavy armour of the mech (Which was only at 38% efficiency now) while the computer compensated and calculated. In a matter of a second Andreis unleased a volly of beam fire. The Phoenix barrelled, avoiding the blasts and the HAV blasted left, heading closer to, but not near the Dantes Fury and sticking to that direction as Andreis fired another volley.
Again the phoenix avoided the shot and was closing in slowly.
Andreis gritted his teeth together and reversed throttle.
With a damaging slam, the Phoenix clipped the heavy armour of the HAV and Andreis grasped the Pheonix wing with the mech's right hand, tearing the wing nearly right off, but putting him in a position to blow a hole right through it.
There was an explosion in the distance from the Dante's Fury and the HAV came rocketting foreward in red-zone speed with a white volley of energy beams sailing at one of the assailing phoenix.

"Andreis, Issac here," keying the radio "I've possitioned my self on the bow of the Fury. I'm switching ammo types, watch out for acid!"
Issac had switched from the standard ferric ball over to a gelcap filled with a rather potent acid for his coil gun. The gelcap had a metalic latice on the surface that allowed the coil gun to hurl it at three times the speed of sound.
A Phoenix darted into view, Issac zoomed in, lead the target and "dropped the hammer". The Phoenix's armor didn't even stop it, Issac fired again.
"I like the results."
The Phoenix started to fly erratically, virniers were fireing in retrograde of the main thuster, while the torso started to cave in on itself. The support members for the wings buckled. The Pilot punched out, too late the reactor breached, the main thruster flamed out. A small star enveloped the Phoenix, Grendal's canopy automaticaly tinted to prevent Issac from going blind.
When the tint faded, Issac saw the wreckage, or the lack there of. An evil grin came across his face. He checked his sensors. It read two less Phoenix mechs.

"I really like the results," Issac said still grinning like a madman "Too bad I only have eight off those"
"Andries, can I have a sitrep?"

-General Ermor has joined the sim- The computer chirped
Ermor's Zeus mech rocketed out of the belly of the Fury, its custom assualt rifle drawn and ready. The nearest phoenix was quickly targeted by Ermor's computer systems and the rifle swung round to bring it into firing position. With a quick squeeze and hold of the trigger, the end of the barrel lit up with white light. The rounds traced through space before landing squarely in the center of the Phoenix's back. The armor piercing rounds punched easily through the metal plating. Ermor emptied his clip of 50 rounds into the Phoenix before it exploded in a brilliant ball of fire.
"Thought I might come and join the party." Ermor radioed to everyone. The rifle's clip ejected automatically with a small cloud of white vapor. It drifted away as Ermor slammed the next one in and pulled the cocking lever back. The Zeus's thrusted ignited, pushing the mech away from the Dante's Fury and into a better firing position. Ermor's targeting computer presented him with the next Phoenix and Ermor lined his weapon up with the targeting rectical that was leading the mech's path. Ermor shot off half of his clip at the enemy mech, drawing a line in space. The Phoenix however rolled away, and the rounds chewed through the wing instead of the torso. Parts of the wing spiraled off into space but, the wing was still functional. "Damn" Ermor swore to himself.

Debris fell like chaff away from the now spinning form of the Phoenix Andreis had fired upon and when the cannons recycled he let loose on it, seering beams of energy spewing from the gaping maw of each shoulder mounted monster.
There was not even a moments delay as the fuel tanks ruptured and spit liquid flame out the bottom, side tossing the machine in it's barrel roll away from the Dante's fury before exploding into a fiery display.
"Good shot!"
Andreis declared over the comm as he saw the light of an explosion envelop the phoenix that Graves had trained on.
"According to the Dante's fury and my own scans there are only 5 enemi-"
Andreis paused and a loud groan was heard as the HAV was peppered with machine gun fire and thrown to the side by the Vernier thrusters.
The phoenix tore by him at breakneck speeds and he kept watch on it by secondary camera, but was more concerned about another phoenix coming in on him.
"Five enemies. Snag the one to my rear!"
...
"And good to have you here sir!"
He added rushedly in acknowledgement to Ermor's entry.
Andreis went to pull the trigger when his lock alarm went off again and the oncoming enemy fired a barrage of short range missles that wheeled and turned and twisted as they came in a disorienting pattern.
For a moment Andreis fought his own thoughts then suddenly it hit him.
He pulled into full reverse and hit the overdrive switch, pulling the sticks back a few inches farther til they hit the backs of the slides. In the simulator he could not feel the gravitational force from such a sudden manuever but the gauge read it for him and he winced.
THe missles were closing in and as he moved the entire mech suddenly released a visible steam from under all of the extra armour plates then with a series of resounding clicks released the bulky peices from the body of the commando, laying them in the missle path.
Andreis aimed the cannons at center as the missles created a screen of fire and smoke and then pulled both triggers with an audible click, whispering
"Chew on this."
"Make that 3 enemies, gentlemen."
Andreis said preemptively to actually knowing if the phoenix that his shot was aimed for was destroyed.
The HAV was now drifting.
((Heavy Armour Variant, by the by. I bought the one out of the shop, but this is the test in the Sim.))

(lets get this party started)
-Chirico joins the sim- The computer chirped
"Ric Dom launching" Now this is what it was built for. Sporting one missle shoulder launcher, the Mag Snipe, custom pistol, and his halberd. "Alright, do they have a carrier nearby or what?" The targeting system was booted and calibrated, sensors detecting 4 friendly's, and a few enemy left. He positioned himself on a nearby asteroid to give him some counterbalance to his fire and to use as a sheild. "Locked on... watching for drift... and bam." The trigger pulled, one of those phoenix mechs went boom, showering another nearby enemy, damaging one that had passed by.
