There he sat. Yet again he raised the small cup to his thin lips, the green tea stinging the sensitive skin as he tilted the clear liquid to his mouth. Green tea without any color at all. Truely an odd thing. The red and white robe he wore seemed to swallow the slightly muscular frame beneath it. He sat the cup down and raised his blue eyes to her's. She quickly looked away, a red hue crossing under her brown eyes. She couldn't believe that she had been staring at him.
The Official dismissed them and they all filed out of his house, each one holding a piece of paper with their next assignment scribbled on it along with a few notes. She watched as he began to walk away. Now was here chance, nobody would get in her way this time! A few steps and she was right beside him. "Um...Ami-San." He casted her a simple glance and then his eyes returned to the path. "Ami-San...Would you mind, if I followed you?" They both walked in silence until he responded with a "No". Finally she gathered enough courage to say it, "I love you, Ami." She stopped, as did he. He turned towards her, his long black hair flowing with the rest of his body. A long pause seemed to drown them both. "Do not say such things." Upon hearing the words, she kneeled down crying; very hard.
Without taking notice Ami walked on, that was until a swarm of footsteps surronded her. There she was, crying helpless. "Don't try to be a hero!" One of the huge, ugly men spat out to Ami. "Please Ami....Help." She muttered softly. So softly infact she wasn't sure if they were actual words or if it was just a thought. Ami however, did not need her to ask for his aid. In a blur the long white staff he always carried flew around as if it had a mind of it's own. The six men lied on the ground, paralyzed. "Are you okay...Kat?" She clung to his kimono, sobbing into the soft red fabric frantically. He lowered himself onto the ground, and she positioned herself into his lap as she continued to cry. Ami's right hand slowly reached up to her soft black hair, and began to rub her head gently. "Please do not cry. There is no need for you to do so, they are no longer a problem. I am here." The soft words did not stop her tears. Still she cried, well into the night. It was amazing.
After an hour or two Ami and Kat finally stood up. Now a large stain was smeared across Ami's chest. "Well, thank you for...the water." Ami whispered as he examined the material that began to soak through and onto his bare chest. "I will have to return the favor soon." He muttered before looking up to her, his eyes as emotionless as ever. Kat merely laughed as she wiped a few stray tears away with a smile. "Thank you for helping me." She whispered before giving him a tight hug. Ami squirmed slightly with a frown. "Gah, don't hug me. Your tears are getting all over me!" Kat pulled back with a smile, bowed, and then dashed off under the moon back to her house. Ami wasn't sure about going back to his own house, so he followed her silently. Mostly to make sure she was okay, and...Well, he was interested in where she lived.
