You get so close,
Then it gets ripped away,
And they shove something different in your face.
Depressing.
What's worse?
The fact that you don't like
what you've been given,
Or that what you want doesn't want you?
Painful.
How much it eats at you.
How bad you want it.
How you know you can't have it.
How you have to sit back and watch someone else have it.
Numb.
It's life.
We keep moving anyways.
If you set your standards high,
You're gonna fall.
So ******** them all.
