Hollow bones in her heart.
Can a robot turn a canvas into a beautiful masterpiece?
...Can you?

I'd highly recommend the movie "I, Robot" to anyone. -has loved this movie since it came out- Will Smith's occasional cheesy line detracts from the overall... quality of the movie, but you just have to see the movie for Sonny. Do it for the hot robot. Seriously.

Yes. Yes, I said 'hot robot'.

-_-

Alright, so I finished my first week back as a volunteer at the Peoria Public Library. The first day wasn't so bad; I was the only volunteer there, so I got to sit at the reading program table all day and... well, read. Only one large group came and there were only a few individual kids who wanted to pick up their reading logs. Plus, I got to watch the lizard being fed. :3 Man, he could snap up those crickets...

Yesterday was a bit more stressful. I got to sit at the reading program table for all of... five minutes, maybe? Then it was off to circulation, because I'm a veteran volunteer. The youth coordinator-lady then proceeds to ask me if I plan to apply for a page position (FYI page = paid and slightly busier volunteer srsly ). This is how the conversation went:

Me: Oh. Well, yeah. I mean...
Lady: Good. How old are you?
Me: Fifteen. I'll be turning sixteen in July.
Lady: Oh, alright. -talks for a while about another volunteer who is already sixteen- Well, I suppose we can start your training then. Here are your tags, you can follow Amber around for the rest of the day.
Me: What. o.o -clings to tags- I'm not...
Lady: Have fun!

I then had to shelve books with Amber (who is incredibly tiny, I almost asked her how the weather in Lilliput was, as a joke) for about an hour, organize dvds and cds, 'shelve' said dvds and cds, and then, the ultimate grunt-task, I friggin' stapled papers at a friggin' desk for fifty friggin' minutes. Another wonderful job from the youth coordinator lady. -__-

I also made a complete idiot of myself in front of another page, who was trying to teach me how to use the RFID system.

"So... you scan the book like that?"
"Yeah, then you take out the sticker thing..."
"What sticker thing?"
"This thing here. -emphatic point-"
"Oh. Gotcha."
"Then you move it under here and it will register on the screen..."
"It went too fast. Can you do it again... please? T.T "
"Sure. -does it again- "
"Oh. Gotcha."
"Then you stick it where it says. Be careful of the binding. You try."
"...Crap. -has stuck it to the binding- "
"Pull it off... carefully..."

And so on. ><

The good news is: apparently, I did a decent job. Hopefully, I'll be able to work there once I'm sixteen...

Art class starts Monday, w00t!

You know what irks me sometimes? When a person has eyes that go in two different directions! <.> Like, the left eye angles left and the right angles right. Just thought I'd air that out.

I would love to see someone's face if asked how the weather in Lilliput was.

Man, I hate it when I feel like Gulliver.

So many girls are so tiny. Us healthy-sized people have it rough.
