What the HELL!
I really don't get it. I place a simple and miniscule poem here on Gaia and I get these nasty messages! "You're an awful writer. You suck." is just an example. What the hell? Did I suddenly looked like I cared what the hell you think? I don't care if you're a DOCTOR of Fine Arts, you're comments of hate and negativity are just words upon a page. Now, those that were kind enough to leave a message of encouragement and such, I DO care about those. Those make me feel good about what I do in my spare time and create a more enjoyable aura for my hobby.
I'm a psychologist, not a poet. I'm used to big words and repetitive sentences. Textbooks ARE my poetry because they actually DO something for me. When I read Edgar Allen Poe and Charles Baudelaire I feel inspired but this anger and hate that spills forth is just idiotic to me. Is it the common jealousy? Is it the need to release anger upon SOMEONE? WHAT IS IT?
The pen is mightier than the sword, but if we had to fight, I'd give you the pen.
