Many of my friends have done things in there life of wich they are not proud of. Some have made mistakes with cosequences that continue on and follow them. most have had heart aches and heartbreaks. Others want to close off the world and sleep away the sadness in their hearts and minds. They call me crying asking for advice and help. I rarely know that right answer ,but to them i always know what to say. Sometimes I'm cruel in my words, but i always tell them the truth. I'm kind when i can be and i always listen, no matter what is happening in my life. I'll listen to a complete stranger. For the first time i listened to my mother and my enemies. Its hard to turn away.
I have this friend, Santonio, one of my best friends. He prejudjed me in the begining, (unkown to the fact that we were best friends in elementry school. We passed that a long time ago of course.) He made a few wrong choices that nearly ruined his life. Yes his life. Every time when he was about to make the same mistake I reminded him of his past ones.
He told me everytime to stop reminding him how tht was the past and he wanted to erase it. He said it was hard when i kept on reminding him.
The one thing that he said stuck with me though.
"My life is my story sometimes i just want to tear out some pages."
When he said this it made me very angry so I told him what i thought and what i said to him wasn't very appealing at the moment.
"Every ones life is a story. Not all stories are good. Especially when you tear out the pages or even, god forbid, the chapters. Your mistakes are yours. You have to learn to live with them. Taking out paragraphs or pages or chapters is just lying to yourself. If you can't look back to learn from them or learn how things came to be, then you might as well forget the book even exsisted."
What i said was mean, but it was true. This isn't the middle nor the end. Not for him not for you nor for me. It's just the begining wether it be bitter or not.
