Santa Ana High School, age 17 and am most proud of being President of the National Honor Society. Have a high GPA. Definitely going to college.
I am a minority, but I do not let this be my excuse to failure. I know no boundary, I was Vice President of the National Honor Society, and currently President of the National Honor Society. There are ethnic groups that like to play the victims of society; they feel that because they are of minority they will not be able to achieve success because all the forces of the universe are against them. It's pathetic that people like to victimize themselves when all around no one victimizes them. I am attuned that there is still great bigotry and racism out there but the important note that one should realize is that the people that make decisions are not racist. And the majority of the American population along with our government have given privileges to minorities both economical and educational. The government alone allows us to sue anyone who discriminates upon a person based on the color of their skin or their culture. The federal government each year gives more money through faffsa to minorities than whiter Americans. All universities encourage diversity and diversity equates to accepting minorities. Because they are under represented.
And so, for black people which tend to hold to this anti-white sentiment is of an insult not only to themselves but to their own kind; because while blacks endured great suffering for many centuries there is no longer an excuse from the Black American groups to play out their lives as victims. If anything they should have humility because if any one has a right to protest it would have to be the people in third world countries. They are the ones living in extreme poverty, dieing every year of malaria, tuberculosis, AIDS, ect. They are the ones who truly suffer in life.
In the contrary, American blacks who are in power and have the economic stability use the public mediums to keep in existence the negatives of blacks and minorities. Black artist make million at the expense of their people and rap about whores, sluts, prostitutions, don't snitch, killing cops, and drive all this crap down the throats of many Americans of all color including whites. I stop to think that this is sending the wrong message to the white people in particular because what this is saying, what the black community is voicing is that it is okay to call black people niggaz, a word that i will never use towards anybody. And they rap about all this negatives things and conceal the hurtful messages and GLAMORIZE them. Then they go public and justify their ignorance by saying that they are poetic and that they rap about their observations of society. How can they say that they are poetic when 98% of rappers do not hone a college education, as matter of fact many drop out of high school to venture into their hip hop careers.
