MY LOVE
Love...beyond the rolling waves I see its smiling face,
I long for Love, so through the deep I swim the frightening race.
Deeper and deeper, the water gets dark, and I am not able to see,
but I have the strength to carry on, for my Love still waits for me.
Danger lurks, and I see fish, big and small, around the bate,
I should never follow them, for it would surely seal my fate.
The moon shines bright, for I swam all night, and all the stars are twinkling,
I can't stop now, I need to know just what my Love is thinking.
Almost there, my heart is pounding, but my fins are getting sore,
I know I'm close, 'cause now I see the white and glissening shore.
I stared at Love and Love stared at me, but it swam away like a fool,
I guess its true that sometimes Love is merciless and cruel.
