My (eMo) Poetry
This is a collection of poems I have written. I'm very proud of them all, some more than others.... but I want to share my poetry with all who are willing to read.
The Girl in Dismay

Her life is like a porcelain doll
Another thing to reinstall
Extremely delicate and slightly tattered
For if it falls, it surely will shatter

Her heart is cold and made of glass
One of these days will be her last
It beats of a sorrow beyond understanding
Her longing for a friend is very demanding

Through her fingers flows something artistic
The wonders she create seem unrealistic
Those hands successfully worship the earth
In them she sees no bit of worth

With skin that's fair and white as snow
A beauty so rich, but she thinks is low
Because you see, she's not secure
There's too much pain she must endure

Her story, you see, is a sad sad tale
They all thought that she'd always prevail
It is my duty to speak of the account
To pass on the records of this large amount:

The distortion she had was hard to find
It was not in her heart, but in her mind
At least that is what the doctor said
When he saw her crying, holding a knife as she bled

"She's a danger to no one except herself,"
He said as he lay the test results on the shelf
"I know just what we have to do,
Come with me and we'll help you to get through."

He took her to an isolated room
"Is this where I shall spend my doom?"
She couldn't believe she had to stay
"So this is where I'll live everyday."

Examining the room her eyes filled with tears
"Don't make me live with all my fears!
I need to go and you can't stop me,
I refuse to live in a soft padded block, see?"

He grabbed her then and held her tight
She scrambled in his arms with all her might
The assistant rushed in and gave her a shot
Then she fell asleep, right there on the spot

When she woke up she was all alone
This crazy room to be her throne
Looking low she saw her arms were bound
To her body in a jacket wrapped tightly around

At that moment, her world stopped turning
A fire inside her began to start burning
She screamed, slamming into the wall with great force
Then cried and yelled until her voice became hoarse

The silence became her only friend
He accompanied and stayed with her 'till the end
When the doctor walked in on that fateful day
He gasped at the sight
Of the girl in dismay
