OK so last full day in Chicago. Yeah were having fun but I'll be glad to get home. So far we have done the Sears Tower, Children's Museum, Fields Museum and Shed aquarium. Today were meeting one of Peter's Marine Corp friends and his family at the Museum of Science and Industries (should be fun). Last night we went out with another one of his Marine Corp friends for some Pizza and then him and his buddy decided to see how much beer and shots one can do in one evening and I'm guessing trying also figure out how bad can he piss off one wife and kids. Today will be a quite day as in I'm not really speaking to him - a** hole!!!!!!! FYI - if my kids read this they will agree). I'm hoping he wakes with one hell of a hangover in which case I will then be really LOUD and offer him as much greasy food as possible - yeah you could say I'm really really pissed.
So since I'm the only one awake (and bored since I can't turn on TV) I'll give you my take on things here is Chicago. FYI - I'm typing this in a dark room so sorry for typos
Sears Tower: yep it's tall - we did go up to the observatory (103 floors) and had a wonderful view of the city - lots of pics.
Children's museum: Great place - lots for the kids to do. A lot of hand on stuff ans stuff to climb on. I also think I spent 30. on dippin dots here - LOL
Fields Museum: Well this is where the first child melt down happened. See I really liked the place but Eric and Ryan hated it. The have a animal exhibit display. It's kinda like going to the zoo but all the animals were dead and stuffed. Well this sent Eric into a PETA tailspin. Now when we hit the dead wolfs (he's really into wolfs) he lost it. Yep full tears and outrage - woo big explosion on how he hates humanity. I should see Ryan was on the brinks of exploding but that didn't happen till we saw the ring tailed lumers (his all time favorite critters). Now if you havent ever been to the Fields museum its huge and you can get lost easily. So there I stand with two children in tears having a fit and i can find the damn exit - it was like some horror movie. Well we finally found the exit and moved on to the dinosaurs (really cool), Indians (the kids liked that) and then the mummys (also cool).
Shed's Aquarium: Kids were trilled to see live animals. Another 30. in dippin dots and we had lots of fun here.
well there is my trip so far in a nut shell....... We fly home tomorrow!
