As a tear rolled down her face, the bottle slipped from between her fingers. As the sound of breaking glass echoed up to her she couldn't help but wonder if the tear had hit the ground first. Another tear fell as she turned her body, wondering if she would make a sound much like the bottle. Abbie closed her eyes and began to roll off the ledge she was lying on, 5 stories above the street. She gasped and opened her eyes, looking down at the street below her as she felt the rough, scared hands of her friend as he pulled her back over the ledge to safety.

As Micheal held her in his arms, he let her cry. He didn't say a word as she sat across his lap and cried for what seemed to be an eternity. After she felt she had no tears left to cry, she looked up at Micheal, "Why are you here?" she asked as he wiped the stale tears from her swollen and bruised face. "The question is, Why are You here? I heard you had an encounter with your ex. I knew you would need company." He forced a smile and set a dark brown paper bag in her lap. Two bottles of Vodka and 3 bottles of Southern Comfort fell out of the bag as she dumped it into her lap. Without hesitation he grabbed a bottle and opened it, handing it to her, and the proceeded to drink.

Abbie was finished her 2nd bottle of So Co when she set the bottle down and leaned her head against his chest, and asked, "Why didn't you let me die? You should have let me fall." She shivered as the wind picked up. He picked his jacket up from neck to them and pulled it around her, kissing her softly on the head. "Well i couldn't let you fall because, you have this ability to annoy people when you want to, and i find this very useful to me." As he held her tightly in his lap, he kissed the top of her head again, "You're only reason Jimmy and you know it. I want you to stick around to prove to me, life isn't worth living. You have to stay alive so you can grow up and see how many people you can piss off." She nuzzled her head against his chest and began to cry quietly. "I'm 23, and I can assure you this one thing. When you are my age, you will have the chance to ruin the lives of at least 20 people. That gives you almost 10 years. I love you Boo and I don't want to lose you so soon." She felt a tear hit her cheek and knew it wasn't hers. She knew he was crying with her. Leaning up she kissed his tears away and stayed in his arms. " You have to stay around to see if life gets better. You have to stay around and prove to me it's worth living without you." his voice was shaky.

Not another word was said, until the Sun rose, casting an eerie light behind them. Abbie looked up at Micheal and smiled as she saw he was fast asleep. He had held her in his arms all night. :Maybe I should stay a bit longer. At least to bother those who wish to see me gone.: She pulled his coat around them both. As she closed her eyes, his grip tightened and he held her close. Another tear fell from her cheek, but it was for a new reason. She was happy that someone cared this much for her, This one person's feelings made up for all the others that hated her. For this moment she was happy.
