I know I put up a poem with my first two posts and I felt like I should put one up today too. I'm in a very happy mood, so I'm going to put up a very silly poem that I wrote back in the 9th grade. It's continued to be one of my favorites throughout the years. It's somewhat of a nursery rhyme in the old style where sad realities were made into funny stories. I hope you like it.
A Delectable Scandal
Sweetly sings the Muffin King
Upon his Thrown of Scones
Calling for his Tartish Queen
So far away from home
She ran off with the Lord of Pie
His court a Pastry Haven
Where no longer must she endure
Her True Love's durations
For you see, the Muffin King
Dallies with the French Toast Maids
And leaves his mark upon the heart
Of every Cream-Filled Maiden
The Queen knows only Happiness
And Love in her new home
But the Muffin King, oh the poor Muffin King
Is sadly all Alone
Moral of the story? I think it's fairly obvious. But don't you feel sorry for the Muffin King, even though he's a cheating scumbag? Worst of all, the Queen is still in love with him.
How sad is humanity, how fragile love. We break a heart when we scarce knew we held it... Now I'm depressing myself. I'm going to go watch anime, bloody, gory anime with lost of death. That always makes me feel better.
