Me, me, me
Like the title says. This is what's on my mind, what I want to yell out, and what's going on in my life. Live with it, or don't. Not like I care. I'll be glad if you read this, anyway....
Projekt Evloution '07 @ VA BEACH
Oh. My. Freaking. God. Best day EVER. I had the most amazing time of my LIFE. I got to see some of my favorite bands, and I got a few more favorite bands. I'll basically tell the story of how my day went. First, I met up with my older bro, Jake(GMan002) and all of his friends, some I've never met. One of them was Amber, and by the end of the day, we'd be best buddies. We saw Madina Lake up at the Revolution Stage first, a new favorite. The bassist made me laugh, he slightly looked like a girl. Still, they sounded OK. They're new too, so there's no 'old stuff'. I'm definitely going to look for their CD. Then Styles of Beyond came up, which I'm not a big fan of rap. BUT, they did work with Klayton of Celldweller, and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. =D Then The Bled came up. Too. Much. Screaming. I felt like I was going to pass out for some reason, so Amber took me with her to grab some water. She already had a bottle, she let me finish the very little that was left. She filled it up at the fountain near the restrooms . She gave it to me, and I dumped half on my head and drank the rest. She got me some more, and I kept it for when I was thirsty. When we came back, The Bled was still up. They were actually alright(from a distance). Me and Amber couldn't find Jake and everyone else, so we stuck to the side of the front. We later found out they were right in the front, right in the middle. Then Saosin, which was also alright. Not a fan, but a listener. Then, the moment of truth, MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE. My first time seeing then live, funny and awesome as hell. I loved every minute of it. Then after that, me and everyone had lunch, dinner, and headed out the main stage to catch the end of Julien K, watching them from the very middle of the very front of the lawn at the VA Beach Amphitheater. I kinda liked it, it had somewhat of a deeper Celldweller sound. Then Placebo came out, meh. Not much to my liking. Than HIM, which I've just heard for the first time, and it was alright. Then Taking Back Sunday, yay! They got a new drummer, Matt, that claimed to have learned all of their live-played songs in a bit over 2 hours, so-said by Adam. I also loved it. Then, EW, MCR. I have no problem with the entire band, I personally love the guitarist with the fro. One of the best I've seen. It's the freaking singer(I don't care for his name, I hate him). 1, most of the songs they did sounded almost like covers. 2, his voice wasn't right for most of the 'covers', he sounds like a girl. 3, he's over-hyped. Two girls would scream(Not the YEAH or WOO, the AAIIEE) at the top of their lungs. I wanted to throw my water bottle at them. And there was a lot of ammo on the ground, too. But I'm too nice. DAMN. 4, he sounded like a middle-school kid trying to cuss. Enough said. 5, my a*****e of a friend denies that he's gay. C'MON, he admitted it during the show! He told a story about someone mistaking him for somebody else. "So, Im walking through the streets of a town and Phoenix, and a guy points me out and yells out "hey! Its (blah blah)!" Those of you who know who he is, you know we look much alike. We both have FABULOUS, FABULOUS hair, so you can pretty much confuse us on that. Theres only one difference. I SUCK WAY MORE c**k AS HE DOES!! THAT BEING SAID, THIS SONG IS FOR THE BOYS!! ALL THE BOYS WHO WANT TO BE MEN, TAKE OFF YOUR ******** SHIRTS AND SWING THEM!!" Me and Jake both hate MCR, when he heard this, we both yelled out "A confession!", and we high-fived. When it was finally over, the stage went black around 20 minutes later. A purple light hit a curtain covering the stage, making it visible. The guitarist plays a chord twice, white lights flashing behind the band, only showing their shadows. This goes for a bit, until the intro was noticeable. The curtain drops and every single person in the crowd jumps up and down: LINKIN PARK. My first live performance of them, and I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT. They played almost every one of my favorite songs which I sang along to with everyone else around me, and the screaming wasn't painful, because the two girls left before Linkin Park >=( But still, no screaming. =D The day went absolutely perfect, I was very happy with how it went. First all-day concert, and first big concert, and I was really glad to spend it with all of my friends. I even got Steve Righ?, the guitarist of MSI, to sign the top of my awesome hat. Everything was perfect. 3nodding

Please feel free to comment, especially if you've seen some of these bands live or if you were also at a Projekt Revolution, especially VA Beach. -Mike
