"Naruto?"
"What?"
"Wake up..."
Naruto's eyes opened as he turned and looked at his wife, who had a worried look in her eyes. "What is it?" He asked. She frowned.
"I think......" She began.
"You think what?"
".....My water broke."
Naruto's eyes went wide as he sat up quickly. "Are you serious?" He asked. "The doctor said you wouldn't be due until another month!" He said as his wife hesitantly sat up next to him.
"Well, I think the Baby gets to decide."
Naruto sighed and looked at her.
"I'm sorry.... Naruto-Kun.."
Naruto shook his head. "What are you apologizing for?" He asked. Smiling, he said, "I'm about to be a Dad!" His wife smiled and nodded as he helped her out of Bed and to the car to take her to Konoha's hospital. "Hinata,"
"Yes?" She asked, breathing in and out heavily.
"You're going to be alright. Don't worry." He said, reassuringly as they rushed to the delivery room.
About three or five hours passed, and Naruto was getting nervous. Hinata had to go to an emergency 'C' in which something bad happened and they had to cut open the mother's stomach to get the baby out before he/she dies. Pacing back and fourth in the waiting room, Naruto stayed with the company of his friends, Kiba, Shikamaru and all of the others except for the girls, who stayed with Hinata during labor.
A nurse finally came into the room, smiling. "Mr. Uzumaki, you may come in now." She said. Naruto took a deep breath as he followed the nurse into the Delivery room. Hinata sat in her bed with a tired look on her face, with Sakura and the other girls surrounding her. Sakura turned around and looked at Naruto with a smile on her face. "It's a girl!"
Walking over to the bed with caution, Naruto smiled, seeing a beautiful baby girl with Blue hair and light blue eyes like his. A moment passed, before Naruto clutched his head and fell to the ground, unconscious.
Not knowing how long he spent knocked out, Naruto opened his eyes and saw Hinata still in a bed next to him. She looked at him and smiled. "Thank goodness your awake!" She rejoiced. Naruto sat up and put a hand on his head and looked at her.
"What happened?" He asked.
"You blacked out, but the doctor couldn't find anything wrong. Maybe you where just over excited that you forgot how tired you where." She replied. Naruto nodded.
"Yeah, maybe." he said softly, looking at his new daughter in Hinata's arms. He leaned over and brushed the child's cheek gently.
"She needs a name." Hinata said softly.
"You want me to choose?" Naruto asked, looking up. Hinata nodded, and Naruto sighed as he studied his daughters face carefully. Hinata unwrapped the child's blanked enough to show her stomach.
"She's got this tattoo on her stomach.." She began. The tattoo was an orange swirl similar to the one Naruto had on his stomach when he was a baby. His eyes went wide, then he frowned.
"I'm so sorry," He thought. "Mayu Chloe Uzumaki." He recited. Hinata smiled.
"What a pretty name, Naruto-kun!" She said as she wrapped the baby up again.
"So that's what happened,'' Naruto thought as He walked out to his car to get a blanket and some pillows so he could stay in the Hospital with Hinata until the next day when she could go home. "I passed out because.." He pressed his hand to his stomach. "That fox demon that was inside me... Kyuubi, I believe his name was... Is now.." Naruto punched the concrete as he cursed himself. "Because of me..... My daughter has to suffer. Damn...... I'm sorry, Mayu.." He walked back to the Hospital with a blanket and a Pillow. "I didn't mean.... to give you the curse of that damned fox demon." He sat down in a chair next to the bed and stared at Hinata and Mayu who where both asleep. He smiled and kissed them both on the forehead. "Goodnight." He whispered as he turned off the room light.
