Two GREAT things happened to me today:
The first was court. Yeah I wasn't thrilled for it either. and it is a long story:
I accumulated too many points on my license (from speeding tickets) and it was suspended for six months. Due to a ******** of events that I won't get into. I never received the letter of notification. Well, a cop looking for drugs pulled me over due to a tail light being out. I don't do drugs, so he didn't find any, but what he did find was that my license was suspended. So I got a ticket.
Fast forward to court, the cops never showed up. Since the state couldn't prove it's case without them, I got two choices. One, I would plea to a lesser charge and only get a fine (I was looking at a bigger fine and probation) or two, the state asks for a continuance, which the judge would accept and I go to court again, or reject and get the charges dismissed. I didn't want to chance having to go to court again so I took the plea bargain. I only had to pay 100 fine and court costs (144 total) No probation, no jail. I'm ecstatic.
The other thing was that I got a job. My old job was delivering pizza, something that can't be done without a license so I've been out of work, but now I have employment!
*sigh* this was a great day! *dances like it's 1920*
