If everyone in the world just stopped fighting, most believe that peace will prevail. But how could this be true, if fighting is, indeed, human nature? Even if the world simply stopped fighting, it would simply start up again due to the cause of all the fighting. In order to stop the fighting and make peace, the cause must be removed. In most cases of war and tension however, the cause is religion and beliefs. Think the Iraq war and the tension between Palistan and Iraq. It all revolves around religion and evangelism, the idea that people should convert everyone to their religion. This has gotten so extreme in some cases that people will kill people they can't convert. Talk about contradictory. If one was to take away religion and beliefs altogether, theoretically, the fighting would stop. But then, wouldn't more fighting arise because of the action? wouldn't one supreme power have to do the job, making conflict of power yet another problem? Is war and fighting unstoppable human nature, or is there really a way to make peace?
Just a thought.
