I have an idea. I am tired of looking at the state of the present church. All these denominations. This is not how Christ wanted us to be. Christ wanted a unified church, and there was one, until it was corrupted by man, and everyone jumped off with their own ideas. But why do we all have to be separate? I know the teachings of Christ well enough to know how I should live:

I believe in Jesus Christ,
He is the Son of God.
He was sent to die for our sins,
and rose again three days later.
I believe in him, and follow him,
so that I may have everlasting life with him.
Though there are many ideas on his teachings,
The message is clear: "I am the way".
I shall follow his teachings to the best of my abilities,
and face Judgment in heaven along with every other Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Agnostic, Atheist, and the like.
I am no better, and no worse than any other person that is trying to find their way, whether or not it be through Christ.
I am not the judge, the jury, or the executioner.
The one and only God is the only one with the right to judge.

If you don't agree with that, then tell me what you disagree with, and why. If you aren't a Christian, don't just say "any of it cause it's bullcrap". Tell me why you aren't a Christian, and I'll tell you why I am.

Guys, our generation is dying. Look at our school (those that go to LHS). How many people do you know that are pregnant? That cut? That do drugs? That don't want to go home at night because they are beaten? That fight because they think it's cool or fun? That fail because they think it's funny, or because their friends are too? That don't ask questions about life (not even the big ones, but just "what am I going to do after this" wink because they don't want to sound like a nerd?

Christians, our church is dying. Look at your church. Do you know someone that goes only because someone else goes, and doesn't pay attention? Do you know someone that pretends to be a Christian at church, but doesn't even come close outside church? When was the last time you invited someone to come to church with you? When was the last time you prayed? Read? Taught?

My challenge still stands. If you don't agree with that basic "Christian Doctrine" (I couldn't find another word for it; I don't think it's that big, and I will change it if you give me a good enough argument), then tell me what you disagree with, and why.

Also, sunday is coming up. I challenge you to ask three people to come to church with you before then (I say three because I don't expect them to say yes right away).

Do you think we can save (both in a literal and religous sense) our church and our generation? In ten years, we'll be the adults. Most of us on our own, out of college, and living life to the fullest. So what will become of the church when we're all that's left?
