Day 3:
Breakfast was same as usual: bleh. I haven't actually talked about the dinning hall yet. Well, the food is okay as long as you add some ketchup or salt or both. It was bland and boring. The French fries were good enough, and their French toast was alright, but everything else was, well, not so great. There were a couple people who went to the student union for meals. I chose not to because the dinning hall was free, at the student union you had to pay. Hmm, bad free food or good paid-for food. My spending money was my money that I had earned through a job, other people were getting money from their parents so they felt obliged to spend it.
Anyways, we had two lectures that morning: one from an aeronautical engineer who is working in the Navy as a civilian, and the other from the general professor person. The aeronautical engineer's presentation was very interesting to me, I even took notes. biggrin Most other people fell asleep. The guidelines he had been given were: 1) the time he had, and 2) to talk about his profession. So he brainstormed the things that he would have wanted to know when he was making his decisions about careers. The presentation was very informative to me and has already helped me with my college search.
The second lecture was on civil engineering. It was boring, I don't think there's much else to say about it...
After lunch, we started on our aquatic robots.
I leave you there for now since I don't feel like writing anymore today.
