So I think that I'll give the rest of the D.C. experience at another time, I'll probably take a few hours this week and write it all out.
Colleges...I'm using sticky notes and been putting them up on this big mirror in my room and organizing them by preference, whether I've visited them, if they have a specific major, location, if I've looked at them before, and whether they're a back-up school or not. I currently have nine of them in my yes section. I have a roughneck next to my desk for mail from colleges that I'm not interested in, it's a small big one, I don't know the exact size, but it's already pretty much full.
Everyone is calling me crazy because I'm taking: AP Chem, Physics II, Bio II, Pre-calc (which will become calc next semester), and Black American History. In addition I'm going to be a student assistant for my physics teacher during an off hour, taking a Race for the Cure class, and I'm going to be commuting between my two schools again. To travel between the two schools will take about 45 minutes since I'll have to wait for the bus for 15 minutes, then another 15 from when I catch that bus until I catch the next one down Wadsworth (the 76), and then another 15 from where I catch the 76 to my school. This means that I will be doing what I was doing two years ago which is getting lunch from the Mexican place across the street from my second school and eating during class. Fortunately, the teachers at my second school don't mind if you're eating during class. I also have to make sure that I don't miss my first bus because if I do, I'll be late to class at my second school.
Plus two things that I'm going to have to research and I'm going to be trying to get an internship through the Department of Energy.
It's going to be an interesting year...
