A single tear trailed down her cheek, soon joining the present storm's own tears. She heard the pitter patter of his footsteps slowly be engulfed by the deep growl of thunder. In front of her lay a letter, wich was already illegiable due to the heavy downpour. She could feel her knees beginning to give way. She tumbled into a heap on the stoop of her apartment. Darkness swallowed her vision, and thunder clouded her mind and her eyelids became heavy, and her world went blank.



She awoke in the very same place, strewn across the stairsteps, her clothes thouroughly soaked and her head throbbing. Her vision steadied and they soon focused on a tattered piece of paper lying just a few feet away. Memories began to flood into her beaten mind.
-flashback-
Sunlight seeped through the drapes of her window as the young girl stirred. a small ferral kitten clawed away at the silken bed sheet, exposing her owner to the warmth of day. Unmei's eyes fluttered open, her pupils blinded by the newfound sunlight. She gave the young feline a soft smile. "Up Gaki." Gaki purred contently at her owners strokes, until said hand stalled. Unmei stared blankly at her calendar; she swept of bed and nearly tumbled into the shower.

Droplets cascaded down her angelic figure, leaving trails tracing every inch and curve of her body. Her ebony locks clung to her forehead as she was lost amongst the warmth around her.
