She walks in darkness
I walk in the light
I can't touch her,
But she can touch me anytime she pleases
I try not to stray away
From the path that I have to follow
She beckons me,
She tempts me
And sometimes I am led astray
She knows not love
She knows no pleasure
She knows only pain
She knows only anger
She knows nothing of happiness or love
She walks in darkness
I stay in the light
Every once in a while I'm tempted
But I know better now.
Cause with every carnal pleasure
I have to pay a price
She never has to pay
She never has the consequences
She is eternal
And yet mortal.
She is me,
But I can't be her.
She can go places I cannot,
She can lose her worries while Ican't
She can be perfection in human form
Or a devil reincarnate
I can only be just me
Cause I am me,
And she is she.
She's done thousands of things
That I can't bring myself to do
She's said millions of things
That I only wish I could've said.
She's so perfect,
While I am so broken.
She walks in darkness
Sometimes even in the light
She goes by thousands of names
But mostly just one
She is me
But I'm not her.
