Xanthiss skirted through the halls... he needed to find Cora... he needed to save her...

Cora hung still in the room, attached to the wall by chains. She was tired, hungry, and hurt badly. Her tunic was in tatters, and she was dirty with rust and her blood matted on her head. Maydra'inidia walked into the room, and spoke, "Ahhhh... Cora, your awake, I just though tyoud like to know that Shynt'tyrr has arrived, and hes on his way here...Hmmph! Id like you to watch as I seduce him back into my service,and as he plunges his blades into you... for my love....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"
Maydra'inidia snapped her fingers, and the walls fell away, revealing a larger bedroom with a bed on a pedastal, and there, in the shadows, stood Xanthiss.

"Cora!!!!! have they hurt you?"

"Xanthiss!!!!!...Yes, im hurt, not much, but still hurt... I love you Xanthiss...please... love me too..."

"Do not worry, my fair love, I truly love you back. I have come here to rescue my friends, and my love... Maydra'inidia!!!!! I told you not to harm her at all!!! NOW IM ANGRY!!!! YOU SHALL PAY FOR THIS MAYDRA'INIDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh....will I?....Well then, ive been naugghtyy.... havent I?...Come, come punish me...make me hurt reaaalll bad....yess.... make love to me Xanthiss.... then, kill her as she is nothing more than a stupid pathetic halfling..."

"NEVER SHALL I BED THEE WRETCHED DEMON-SPAWN!!!! I LOVE CORA AND CORA ALONE!!!!!....Never....nooo.....noo....youre......mind.................it hurts sooo bad........stop it......stop it.....she does love me.... yes...she does.....stop it....Stop It....STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Xanthiss pulled his rapiers out, and rushed towards Cora, his eyes glowing red... He was lost to Maydra'inidia... As he stepped towards Cora, she strted to cry...and she spoke, "Xanthiss...nooo.... my love...are you lost to me now?...if you are...kill me then, for life without you will be no life indeed.........*sob sob*

Xanthiss looked upon his loves sad face, and suddenly, his eyes reverted back to normal...he stared into those eyes and spoke
"Cora.....nooo....what have I done?... I love you so much...nooo....this shall never happen again... I shall never be put against you ever again....nooo...........she shall pay......SHE SHALL PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Xanthiss ran to Maydra'inidia and thrust her to the bed and grabbed her by her hair and held her aloft.

"Maydra'inidia, sisster....I have decided that I shall make you pay for what you almost made me do to Cora... I shall never forgive you, so I shall KILL YOU FOR YOUR SINS!!!!!!!!! I AM THE CLEANSER OF SOULS!!!!!!!!!! I SHYNT'TYRR DAN'NADAFEIN ARKENRAE SHALL PURGE YOU OF DARKNESS!!!!!!!! DIE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WRETCH!!!!!!!!"

As he pulled the blades back, Cora cried out
"NOOOOOO XANTHISS!!!.....Dont kill her...if you killed her, youd only be fueling that darker side of you... let her live, and that would be a worse punishment for her I think.... by killing her, you only show that you are still an "evil Drow"...please, just let me loose and lets go home......"

Xanthiss dropped his sister to the bed, and knocked her out. He walked over to Cora...
"im so sorry, Cora...I dont know what came over me... I just couldnt stand the thought of hurting you... I did not want her alive after what she almost made me do....im so sorry... lets leave...i love you"

Xanthiss lifted Cora in his arms and carried her out of the room, and Cora spoke her last words before falling to sleep in his comforting embrace
"I forgive you, Xanthiss my love... I shall always love you... thank you for being here.....for me...."

The group left the town quickly through an exit nearby the Arkenrae mansion. After much travelling in the Underdark, all the while, Xanthiss carried Cora the whole way, never rested, always watched her to make sue she was safe, fed her, and never ate himself...Soon, she awoke from her slumber of extreme stress.
"Xanthiss.... lets go adventuring in the upworld next... Id like to spend nights with you under the stars..."

"Anything you want, my love. We ca nnever come under the ground ever again if you wish... Anything for you, my love..."

That night, Xanthiss brought Cora outside the Underdark, and he and her slept comfortably in each others arms....
The stars were all out, and the moon shone warmly over the two... and the night let the two rest...
They deserved it... they had been through so much in only a few days... but now they loved each other more than before...
Xanthiss and Cora... for all of time...
