Buncha stuff.
Here's a sneak peek into the future for Ruroku. In the second book Elements: The Final war, Joe finds out about his demon's deal with the devil. Eternal life for his soul, but it turns out, our good old friend Ruroku decieved the devil and has been avoiding him since the beginning of time. Enjoy this clip of Ruroku and his grandfather.

Exodus jumped up into the air and grabbed hold of the large chopper, slamming it into the ground. The giant’s muscles rippled as he stood up straight and let out a mighty roar. Soldiers opened fire on him, but the bullets just pinged off of his demonic skin. Ruroku ran forwards with Chaos drawn and cut through a line of military combatants. Their dead bodies fell to the ground, only to be replaced by hundreds more. Exodus took a few steps towards them, but Ruroku turned and said, “Stay back grandpa. They’re mine.” With a dark grin on his face, he turned back around and sheathed Chaos. Exodus folded his arms and sat down with his legs crossed saying, “Showoff.” Ruroku laughed as the fire burst from his body in short amounts, until it finally exploded like an atomic bomb. The soldier’s burnt bodies flew through the air, filling it with a nauseating gas that reeked of week old corpse. Only the soldiers with biohazard and bomb armor on were able to withstand the blast. Ruroku smiled at them and held out his hand, blasting meteors through their armor and chest, causing them to bleed all over the ground. One particular soldier, however, held up a familiar weapon and began to charge it. Ruroku’s eyes widened at the sight of the Cavian megaton battle action cannon. He tucked and rolled out of the way, but the heat of the blast burned his skin. He stared up at the soldier who took off his cloak and said, “Hurt’s like a b***h, doesn’t it Ruroku?” The soldier took a few steps forward and recharged the gun, pointing it at the demon, but was tackled by Exodus no sooner than he had done so. The soldier’s visor cracked and shattered as his head was slammed into the ground over and over again. Ruroku stood up and shook off the pain from the initial blast and said, “Let him be Grandpa. He’s probably the only one smart enough to even join the ranks.” Exodus was about to slam the soldier into the ground again, but dropped him and said, “Fine, but it’s not like it matters anyways.”

The soldier got up and jumped onto a motorcycle, riding off as fast as he could. Ruroku stared into the sky, feeling the breeze brush across his face. Suddenly the wind picked up and sliced across his face like a razor blade. He looked off in the distance and saw the source of the so called “natural” occurrence. He called out to Exodus, “Grandpa, get out of here as fast as possible! There’s something that I need to take care of once and for all!” Exodus nodded stupidly and got into the jet, taking off and leaving a trail of fire and smoke behind him. Ruroku’s pupils slit down the middle as the rest of his demonic body took form. He stared directly into the vortex and said, his voice mixed between a demon and an angels voice, “This time, you die.” His voice seemed to echo throughout the empty city, the only thing to hear it were the lifeless bodies scattered across the ground and the vortex that seemed to haunt him in his nightmares. He beat his mighty wings and flew into the heavens to face his greatest enemy. Its pale blue eyes stared into his as it seemed to scream over the storm. Vultures scattered away from the city, having their fill of food and in fear of the loud noise. Ruroku, however, was not bothered by the shrieking noise. His demonic ears were attuned to the howls of the dead, and this was nothing compared to them. He pointed Chaos towards his adversary and said, “What makes you think you can come here?” The creature replied in a foreign tongue “Itearme baachnaste freamnar emaclastes greamates, daemon.” The winds picked up and thousands of branches, trees, and other objects flew out of the tornado. Ruroku knocked them out of the way with one swift movement of his hand and said, “Now then. In my tongue, say it again.” The being replied once again, “He sent me for you, demon.” A long hand reached out and slammed Ruroku into the side of a building. Ruroku kicked it off and said, “Who sent you?!”
“The devil of course. He wants your soul back.”
“Well he’s not getting it!” Ruroku said as he cut through the storm. He shot out darkness from his hand and threw a meteor at it, causing it to catch fire. The storm reversed itself, putting out the fire, and many more hands shot out, grabbing for Ruroku. He grinned and tucked his body in, exploding with thousands of dark arms saying “Army of hell!” Shrieks filled the air as the darkness overwhelmed the storm and caused it to subside. All that was left was the wind demon gasping for air on the ground. Ruroku flew down beside him and raised Chaos into the air saying, “Die Gralbass.” The blade crashed through his neck, the neck bone cracking at first and shattering from the force of the blow. Blood spattered over the ground, and Ruroku collapsed as the demon form drained more of his life away. He could tell that he was going to die if he stayed in this form too much longer, so he changed back to normal. He pushed his hair back as it changed from black to blonde, and Joe emerged from the smoke. Ruroku spoke in the back of his head, “You’d better be grateful I’m here. He would have killed you.”
“He wasn’t after me. He was after you Ruroku.”
“I suppose you’re right. Let’s go.”
