Story: Aleskey doesn’t really remember his life, per se, especially after the operation. He has vague memories of growing up in Moscow, of coming of age as the Soviet Union collapsed, of the chaos that followed. At some point, he ended up an engineer for The Menagerie, doing routine repairs on the DOLA computer system. Everything else is really a blur. The operation did a big thing on him.

Original Description: A big guy to start out with. Around 6 feet tall, large round nose, face still youthful. Dark brown hair, severe brown eyes, premature wrinkles from living out in Siberia so long. In the great Russian tradition, he usually had some scruff but never let it grow out to a full beard. He had a bit of a beer belly, but was still in decent shape.

Original Personality: Aleskey was the lovable drunk. He was funny, charming, a little too fond of his vodka but it didn’t really get in the way. He was popular among the people in the village outside The Menagerie, where he spent his weekends. On the job he was the joker who kept spirits up. He was also the only person who did not fall under DOLA’s control that knew how to shut it down the old fashioned way—through its main power source, through it’s mechanical structure. So, of course, DOLA had him decommissioned.

Memory wiping can be so inaccurate. It’s easier just to cut out the part of his brain where that knowledge was stored.

Post-Procedure Description: Aleskey was injected with the a small source of a White Rhinoceros that only gave him some minor changes as compared to his colleagues. His hands and feet and mostly flat, only have 3 digits, and lack any real grasping ability. His eyesight is terrible. He is stronger. His nose has been broken by a double horn that still has pieces of his rhino and human flesh on it. His nostrils are along the top of his upper lip. Overall, he is larger and taller. Otherwise, his skin and body is human.

One might think Aleskey got off lucky. This is not the case—a small portion of his upper right arm has been replaced by an Abtomat chamber. Floating in the chamber is the very piece of brain that DOLA removed from his head, floating in tube of near-indestructible Plexiglas.

Post-Surgery Personality: If you were to speak to Aleskey, he has very little resemblance to the man he once was. For the most part, he’s quiet and acts childlike. For the most part, his personality is very flat until he is roused into anger. He has hissy fits that are similar to a todler’s, but he can cause some real damage. Like the cliché, he seems sad at something he lost…but isn’t quite sure what it is.
