A poem i have written recently, it encompasses my feelings right now, and the person this is about knows damn well who they are...

Now I walk,
Alone,
My soft footfalls echo in the darkness,
Walking here in the empty shell,
Of my once glowing heart.
Now gone,
Lifeless,
Hollow.

And all because of you,
You made my life fantastic,
The world was different,
A better place,
One with laughter, love, and happiness.

And then you left,
And I died a thousand deaths,
And I will die a thousand more,
Until the beating wretchedness tears from me,
And lives like I once did,
In the broken-ness of my dreams,
Shattered by a single moment

But for now I walk,
Alone,
Once more.
