Not really, but it is a poem.
Waiting
I wait for the day to meet you
and wait for the day to come where I can say hi
I wait for the day when you'll greet me with a smile
and I wait for the day when I can smile back
I wait for the day to tell you that I like spending time
and I wait for the time when you tell me the same
I wait for the day when I feel good enough
to tell you I love you like you would your best friend
And I wait for the time when you'll say I love you back.
The only thing I hate to wait for
Is the day you tell me I love you more than just that
and I dread the day when I have to tell you
It can't go any further than that
I hate to wait for the day to come when I have to tell you
It has to stop
I can't stand waiting for that day
Because it is waiting for that day that pulls me away
And it is that dread of waiting, that makes me say
I'll love you always just like we're best friends
But please don't ask me to do more than that.
