Scam's Rantings
This is where Scam rants about life, love, the world, theories, and whatever happens to pop into her head!
Baltimore Aquarium
I was at the Baltimore Aquarium yesterday. I went with a friend and her friend. We had lots of fun. We sat for at least an hour looking at the sharks. I asked my friend if sharks slept. She said that no one really knows. She then went on to say that all sharks really do is "swim, eat, and have sex." Which I replied "... so.. they're like men?" xD

We later went to the Australian part of the aquarium. I of course had to complain, very loudly of course, that lizards and birds are not fish. My friend's friend said that maybe people are confused. xD

One interesting thing that we saw was the feeding of the Nautilus. Sooo cool. We also saw some rays that I just had to name "Pancakes" because that's what they looked like xD

We also saw the tiger shark that my friend "adopted" (you know how zoos and such do things like that) and this really cool turtle that was missing a front flipper.

We later went to the Barnes and Nobles across the street and I got this really good book called "Mr. B. Gone" by Clive Barker. I had read two of the Abarat books of his. (I didn't realize it was the same author at the time I bought it.) it was an amazing book, written in first person and with a few gay undertones. (Which made sense after I read the back flap.) I bought the book not nowing what to expect. The front flap didn't explain what the book was about, but promised that it was a dark, macabre tale. And that was exactly what I needed. Plus it was made to look very old (shallow of me, I know). So I bought the book and it provided me with a good few hours of reading last night (Yes, I did finish the book the same day I bought it). It was good for me to read a book on my own accord because I haven't in a long while. Books sustained me during my last great depression. The one thing that did irk me a bit is that it took pauses in the story a bit to long for my liking.

It was a great read and I suggest it to anyone who would like a dark yet humorous tail. Do not read it if you dislike graphic images, first person, or are a homophob.
