Hands cover lips to muffle the cries of a bleeding heart
as a mans spirit was broke and again torn apart

soon knees buckled giving way to tears
as his treasured dreams became his fears

Lost in darkness hands prayed for the light
as a goddess came forth and rekindled his might

Although her beauty vast her heart was untamed
as the man yet thought that a hope still remained

His wounds would soon mend from the womans kind words
as her beautiful voice could sooth even the birds

Tender lips drawn upon a radiant face
as exquisite eyes look on with unwavering grace

Simply thinking of her thoughts would mix and heart race
as the mans soul did long to know her embrace

The thought of her lips would haunt the mans dreams
as craving their touch did so tear at his seams

Quickly time passed and the mans heart was healed
as quietly he sat keeping his true feelings concealed

Then the time came for him to confess
as his feelings for her he could no longer suppress

But as he went to speak all his hopes soon died
as she had already chosen another to be by her side

A promise he then forged to show support without disdain
as she deserved to be happy no matter the pain

Yet in the mans mind not a thought changed it's way
as he will wait for her till his very last day
