Last night as I slept a Thought played through my mind,
A dream of a woman so perfect, divine,
Her eyes were like emeralds plucked from the skies,
Showing true from the heart unclouded by lies,
Her skin was like silk from far away lands,
From the top of her brow to the tip of her hands,
Her words were like honey so smooth and so sweet,
That a kiss from her lips was surely a treat,
When she laughed all fell quiet to hear the sweet sound,
For in her quaint chuckle your own joy could be found,
Her beauty unrivaled by any and all,
So elegant she stood a lone flower so tall,
Her scent like a perfume from the most fragrant of rose,
To envelope the senses of by whom ever it flows,
This beautiful woman, this goddess divine,
Has shown me a world that is truly sublime,
I wish I could dream but a thousand years more,
To stay with this woman whom I deeply adore,
But alas as the sun broke over the seas,
My eyes began to sliver then cracked open with ease,
I awoke with a sigh from that wonderful dream,
But as I looked down the tears would soon stream,
For wrapped in my arms was a lily so daint,
And gone was my breath so shallow and faint,
With your head to my heart and your hand in my own,
I know that I'll no longer wake up all alone,
For you are my goddess plucked from my dreams,
And together forever God so does seem to deem.
