After watching the Golf Channel for some time today, I sat through numerous commercials showcasing the craziest gimmicks I had ever seen. From DVD's to oddly shaped sticks, these products are supposed to guarantee that your swing and distance will improve or your money back.
Then I thought, "Why not get into this game? I'll bet I could make tons off this market..."
That's right folks, The Golf Channel is in all reality, a hidden gold mine. Just devise a convincing method for weekend golfers to improve their game and they'll pay through the nose for it.
For example, I saw an ad for a "brush-tee" which was a thumb-tack looking device with brushes on the head. Basically, you set the ball on the top of the brushes and swing. It was a convincing ad with excellent testimonials. Guess how much you pay for a set of three though? Twenty bucks! That's right folks, for something that cost less than a dime to produce, you can order this amazing tee off the internet for twenty bucks!
Not only are people dumb enough to buy it, but they ignored the fact that it was an INTERNET order. Meaning that if you felt like you were shafted for the thing you bought, you deserved it since its nearly impossible to trackdown the company. Even if you typed in the correct domain name, it would throw you off.
If I wanted one of those golf tees I would've simply fashioned one myself instead of getting suckered online. ^^
