She whinned slgihtly, opening one eye to look at him, "Your.....awake..." She half yawned scratching her eye. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Yeah. Caius and I are going to go find some food, okay?"
(Me thinks we were gonna skip to when they get captured.)
((Yeah we were.))
(You want me to start it?)
((Your idea, so you would know what is going on!))
(Doesn't mean that- Ah, nevermind.)
Three days had passed and Aydin still wasn't used to this new form. It was absolutely excrutiating! He felt weak all the time from the baby taking the majority of his energy. He couldn't eat enough to sustain it's need. And to add to it, these sandals weren't helping with his feet. They were still very sore from walking all the time. He'd even thought about asking Rei to carry him, but she was already carrying the bag with all their clothes. Plus it would be just a little weird.... It was currently noon in the forest they were in. Being physically and mentally drained, Aydin didn't even know how close they were to the ocean; and he was supposed to be the smart one around here! He was curled up under a tree in their little camp, watching the small flames dance as they burned the wood in the make-shift firepit. A rumble emitted from his gut. He'd eaten not even an hour ago.... This really sucked....
Rei sighed, fiddling with the ends of Nikolai's coat that she now wore. She ddin't like this not at all. Everyone seemed different and it bothered her and she didn't like being this big! Even if it was fun wearing Nikolai's caot. it smelt like him and made her feel alittle better, but not a lot. Looking threw her bangs at everyone else she really wished they could just fix everything.
Nikolai was curled up under another tree, trying to stay in the shadows as much as he could. He had been trying to sleep, but when he had woke up with his left arm burning, from it being in the sun he quickly forgot about that idea and decided he ddin't need to sleep. The fact that the sun was bother him this bad irrited him. As an adult it never bothered him, well not enough to brun him, but being so small was becoming more and more of a problem.
Caius was currently alseep not far from Aydin, of course it was more ofpassed out then just alseep. As time had gone on his wings had only gotten worse and now he was starting to feel sick.
Out of the group Vera seemed to be the only one that was okay. She was currently sitting a little ways from the camp were she had gathered a bunch of flowers and was making flower wreahs. She was worried about the others and really wanted to get the the ocean as fast as possibal to make sure the others would be okay.
(Niko has an umbrella, remember?) Aydin sat up, hands on his stomach. "I'm gonna go look for something to eat." He announced to whoever cared. "Anyone wanna come?" His voice held a tired and uncaring tone.
((Oh yeah.))
Rei's ears perked up and looked over at him, "Rei will go with you if you want?" She smiled at him.
Nikolai snorted and pulled his umbrella out and opened it in front of him, hiding himself behind it.
"Only if you want to." He said, standing.
(Veraveraveraveravera.)
((I didn't forget her, it's just she is alittle ways off and didn't hear him at first. I already planed on her going.))
"Rei doesn't mind!" She smiled standing up.
Vera looked over her shoulders at the others, before slowly getting to her feet, leaving her flowers, "Are you going some where?" She asked, walking back into the camp site.
"I was just going to go get something to eat." Aydin turned his head towards Vera as she came into the make-shift camp. "I was asking if anyone wanted to come."
"I'll come. I'm some what hungry myself." She smiled at him, before looking at Rei, "Is Rei coming too?"
Rei nodded, "Yup!"
"Okay, let's go." Aydin stood. However, he didn't start off just yet. His gaze fell on the umbrella that hid Nikolai. "Look after Caius or else." A finger pointed to said in-pain dark skinned child sleeping on the ground.
Nikolai moved the umblrella only enough so he could look at him, "And if I don't?" He asked, smirking slightly.
Vera sighed and looked up at Rei, "Your brother is such a pain."
Rei nodded.
"I'll tie you to a ******** tree and let you burn to a crisp in the god damn sun!" Aydin snapped, too drained to deal with Nikolai's shinanigans. "Let's go." Directed at Rei and Vera, then began into the forest, looking for anything edible.
Vera and Rei looked at each other in shock before quickly following after Aydin. Rei looking once over her shoulder at her older brother before, turning back.
Nikolai snorted and fixed his umbrella so he was still hidden, but could see Caius, "You are such a pain....heh..." he muttered glareing at him.
Aydin headed towards the small waterfall-pool where they had gotten their water from when they stopped. Something had to be growing there, berries, apples, hell, he'd even eat a raw fish if he had too. His stomach immited another gurgling growl and he muttered 'shut up' at it.
Rei blinked, her ears twitching, "Did Aydin say something?" she asked, looking down at him.
Vera blinked her self and looked at the two, following behind.
"No, it's okay Rei, I didn't say anything important." He said, then a thought hit. "Rei!" He turned and looked at her. "Can you smell any food nearby? Fruit, nuts, anything?"
Rei jumped slightly as he turned to her, "Ahhh.....Rei can smell fishies and maybe some fruit, but Rei thinks it's far off." She said, nodding to her self, "Yup thats what Rei smells. Along with some bunnies, but Rei didn't think you wanted to know that."
"No, I'm not gonna eat a rabbit." Aydin shook his head. "How about you get get some fish for all of us and me and Vera will go get fruit, okay?"
"Rei didn't think you would eat a bunny, but Rei thought she would tell Aydin anyways." She smiled and nodded, "Rei will go get some fishies!"
"Thank you." They could save whatever fish Rei caught for supper. Had he the resources, Aydin would have liked to make some sort of sauce with it, but they had no cookware and not enough energy to make a silver pot. "Come on Vera." He made a following motion to her as he headed in the direction if the fruit which grown-up Rei had pointed/
Vera nodded as she troted after him, waving to Rei as she went. Rei smiled and turned and head towards the water to get the fish. She thought about getting a rabbit, but deciding she would get it later. She didn't want to make anyone up-set by killing it.
Aydin kept strong in the direction he was heading, ignoring the almost painful pulses of hunger inside himself. They needed to fix this soon, this was a horrible way to die.
Vera followed after, keeping quite not really having anything to say. She wanted to ask Aydin what was wrong, but at the same time she didn't want to be a bother.
After what seemed like an eternity, Aydin laid eyes on an apple tree. "Oh thank heavens." He muttered under his breath. Though, as he began to climb it, as he was too short to reach even the lowest branch, his arms gave way and he fell to the ground on his bottom.
"Aydin are you okay?" Vera asked kneeling down next to him, "You didn't hurt your self did you?" She asked, trying to look him over.
"No, I'm fine." Other than a sore butt, he was fine. "I can't climb it..."
"Okay. Then should I try?" She asked looking up at the tree.
"Yeah." If she couldn't then they would be having any apples, which would probably piss Aydin off a lot more.
"Alright..." She said, studying the tree for a moment before finding a good placed to put her foot and pull herself up into the tree. For a mintue she almost lost her balance, but regained it and seated herself on a branch were she could reach the apples. She looked down at him and smiled.
"Great!" Aydin smiled and waited for her to start throwing some down.
"I hope you can catch." She said with a smile on her face, as she picked one and threw it down.
"I may be tiny now-" he caught it in his small hands, "but my hand-eye coordination is still fine."
