Hi... uh... I'm gonna post a bit of the beginning of my yet to be published book, Zero's Phantasm.
'Now... how did I get here?' I often find myself wondering. Maybe Fate? Bad luck? Both? Well, who knows. More importantly, who cares? I'm probably the only one.
Oh well. I should most undoubtedly be thinking of more important things. Y'know, like how I'm staring a giant, three-headed snake demon in the face. I never did like snakes anyways.
I should probably explain how I get here before going any farther. I'm a sixteen year old kid. Brown hair, but I wish it was blond. And bright blue eyes. Which is why I'm in this situation. Nice, eh? I thought so too.
Blue eyes effect why I'm in this situation 'cause in S'varrah, if you have blue eyes, it automatically makes you a warlock. Warlocks have to go through some tough stuff. We have to go through nine "trials of heroics", then we gotta "prove ourselves worthy of the god's favor" by "performing godly endeavours", whatever THAT means.
Which explains perfectly why I'm in this situation, right? No? I didn't think so. I'll tell you what, let me go back a bit. Okay, for this to make sense, I'll have to go way back, but it'll all make sense after.
***
About fifty years ago, a mighty force destroyed humanity as we knew it. Draxx, the Elders call it. Before this happened, however, the gods created a group of heroes to destroy the beast.
The heroes failed, miserably. However, before Draxx killed the heroes, it offered them a choice. Death, or apprenticeship to it. To save their own lives, the heroes accepted apprenticeship. After two years of being apprenticed to the horrid being, all save for one hero was corrupted beyond all fixation.
The only hero not corrupted, Warlios, was a spellcaster. He had studied Draxx's dark magics, and saw that his fellow heroes had been corrupted. Furious, he attacked the dark entity. After a full month, the horrid being was destroyed.
Though he tried, the hero could not bring himself to kill his freinds. Instead, he locked them away in a mystic kingdom, known as Eventus now. The lock is mystic, and it needs magics to maintain it. Which is where warlocks come in.
Every ten years, a warlock must venture to Eventus, and make sure that the fallen heroes do not escape. Which is why warlocks have to prove themselves, I guess.
Uh... so... comment on how it is so far... and remember, donations are always accepted! 3nodding
