[Traverse Town]
-Chapter three-
A tingly feeling coursed up Ilexisi`s body as she stepped inside the Portal all the way. She was biting her bottom lip the whole time, and wincing. She wasn't quite sure she wanted to open her eyes but, she heard footsteps and voices and her feet were roughly on concrete, and next to a curb. Her left eyelid snapped open and she peered out at an alleyway. Green neon lightbulbs with gold rings were hooked on the walls, alligning across the roof of a building next to the alley way and crates and barrels were piled in the dark corners.Ilexisi` peered left and right, opening both of her eyes this time. What is this place? She noticed that portal was still behind her,luckily, and she untied the braided rope from her waist and carefully tied it into double knots around a lamp hooked onto the bricked wall. Hesitantly, she walked her way down the alley way and went around a street lamp. There was a pathway and steps that lead down to a flat platform, that was squared and looked like the center of a town. But what Town?
Tall buildings that had oak roofs and looked as if they were from a Fairy Tale, and a clock Tower surrounded the squared platform and she walked down the first steps in front of her. There were more doors and passage ways, and giant sliding doors. Her blue eyes scanned the first sliding door and noticed carved-in words explaining "Second District". If the door lead to the so-called Second District, then she must have been in the First District. She was still curious about the First District and tapped her index finger on her chin thoughtfully. A building on her right, was huge and had two levels. There was a balcony and a brick roof, with about six antique tables beneath the balcony. A lit candle was in the center of every little antique table. No people were present amongst the tables and Ilexisi` just figured that is was a closed Restaurant. She then gazed at another building with the same appearance and a little sign that read "Items." Perfect! A general store. I can ask for directions. But to...um..where?
She sighed, and walked up the vine-designed double doors of the Item Shop and pushed them open to enter. There was a front desk, with a bell at front and shelves containing items like potions,Elixiers,Remedies, and pheonix downs. The shop seemed nice enough, and had all the regular items needed.
"Hello? Anyone here?" Ilexisi` asked loudly, and skipped up to the front desk, highly tempted to smack her palm on the bell. There wasn't a response and she put her hands on her hips. Uhg, I need at least a map to show the gang when I get back!
"Anyone here at all?" She patted her flat hand onto the bell and a little ring buzzed out of it. Loud smacks came from behind her then little giggles and she spun around in suprise. Three ducks appeared in front of her waving energetically. Did ...ducks just wave at me? She was startled and smiled weakly.
"Umm, are you waving at me?" Ilexisi` asked softly, and one of the little ducks wearing a green shirt and cap giggled and nodded.
"Who else are we waving at! Hi wall how ya doin!?" The one with the red shirt and cap said out loud and Ilexisi` put a hand over her mouth and gasped.
"You talked!" She blurted out the obvious. Maybe the Portal let loose some screws...in this skull of mine..
"You talked too!" All three of the ducks gasped in response, then they all laughed with eachother. They all looked pretty much the same, except for the colors of their shirts and caps. The colors were red,blue, and green. Ilexisi` removed her hand from her mouth and scratched the back of her neck nervously.
"Umm hi. I'm Ilexisi`...you are?" She wanted to be friendly, incase these magical talking ducks had homicidal after effects.
" Hahaha That's a weird name! Anyways, I am Huey!" The duck with the red attire exclaimed, waving his little feathered arm in the air and hopping up and down on his big yellow webbed feet. Pffft and my names weird, eh squirt? She kneeled down to shake Huey's hand and smiled.
"And I am Dewey!" The little duckling with the blue attire waved both of his feathered arms in the air energetically. Ilexisi` shook his hand as well, then turned her attention to the duckling with the green shirt and the green cap. He stood up proudly, with his feathered hands in fists on his ducky hips.
" I am Louie!" He said and Ilexisi` grinned and shook Louies hand, or 'feather'.
" Well It's Very Nice meeting you Huey,Dewey, and Louie." Ilexisi` stood up straight and kept her friendly smile on her lips. Now it was time for their assistance.Ofcourse, if these three duckys were capable of giving assistance without cracking a joke or giggling at her. Did they even own the shop? Or were they customers like her?
"Do you three own this store?" She asked and the three ducks looked at eachother with amused smiles.
"Well we do now!" Huey said proudly and Ilexisi` raised an eyebrow, questionably. What does he mean Now?
"What Huey meant to say was that we are taking charge for are uncle!" Dewey corrected and Ilexisi` nodded in relief.
"Our Uncle Scrooge said to watch the place and stuff." Louie hopped up and down like he couldn't stand still for short periods of time. Ilexisi` realized it was alot like her when she was in the WRO. The jumpy never-ending moving one of the gang. Thinking of the gang, she didn't want them to be worried of her.
"Hmm..what Town is this? I am new." Ilexisi` asked and the ducks giggled amongst themselves. She glared and put her hands on her hips, staring down on the three of them. Huey,Dewey, and Louie gulped responsively to the taller being.
"This is Traverse Town!" Huey replied and Ilexisi` tapped her chin,smiling. Traverse Town eh? Well, now all I need is a map, to show the gang back at the portal. Ilexisi walked up to one of the shelves stacked to the top with papers, and old books.There was bound to be a map somewhere in this place.
"Whatcha lookin for?" Louie followed Ilexisi` around, who was walking back and fourth, scrutinizing the book covers and stray papers.
" Well I kind of need a map, so I know where I am going." Ilexisi` said and Louie nodded, running in a wobbling motion like any ordinary duck, and bounced on Huey's shoulders. Dewey seemed to know the routine and climbed up on Hueys back, then onto Louies, the three of them standing on eachothers shoulders.Ilexisi` watched them with wide eyes. What the hell are they doing?
"Move us over there Huey!" Dewey quacked and waved his arms around to keep balance. Huey moved forward, their bodies wiggling about, and stopped in front of one of the book cases. Dewey stretched an arm out and grabbed a rolled up brown paper on the very top. He then tossed it to Ilexisi` and the three ducklings got to the floor, ofcourse not Huey since his webbed feet were still on solid ground.
Ilexisi` caught the paper in her hands, and unrolled it. Her blue eyes scanned it and she smiled, once she figured it was the map for Traverse Town. Traverse town was broken up into three districts including secret entryways to a Wizards home. The home could be found passed the Third District which was the Outskirts of Traverse Town. Wizards are smart, maybe the gang and I can check it out? Ilexisi` squinted a bit. A little cursive name of some sort was scrawled on the top of the Wizards house location. She turned the map a little bit and wiped a pale finger over it and read it. Merlin? Ilexisi` tilted her head and gave a lopsided grin. It's probally the Wizards name...or the name of the place. Ilexisi` smiled at the three ducklings who were looking at her curiously.
"Thank you, Huey,Dewey,and Louie." She giggled lightly and walked to the entrance of the shop. The three ducklings waved, and giggled for the last time and Ilexisi` waved back,before she left the shop and headed back to the portal.

AUTHORS NOTE:
The First little adventure in another world.Exciting right? Huey,Dewey,and Louie are so stinkin` cute, I just didn't want to NOT add them.
Hmmm, excited for some Merlin? Well, first Ilexisi` needs to pick up the gang ofcourse!
