Home alone in Rodentville
Ah ha! I'm updating my journal. Why am I updating my journal? I never update my journal.
-shrugs-
We have a mouse infestation at our house. I hate hate hate them. So small, and scratchy and crawly. You'd be amazed how noisy they are, and they're in my cupboards, stopping me from sleeping.
I've worked out that if I turn the light on and stomp around for a bit it tends to keep them quiet for a few hours. So I just have to get up every two hours and make some noise in the night.

Damn stubborn parents not wanting to pay for someone to come and kill the damn things.
On a lighter note. Last week my parents went to New Zealand and left Jemima and I to live in the house by ourselves. It was cool. We got takew away the first night and could stay up as late as we wanted (although, I was exhausted by 10pm most nights, pathetic).
Highlights of the week:
Day 1
-ordering take away by ourselves. We managed to bugger up about 5 phonecalls before we got it working and made an order. I hope their phone didn't have caller ID... >.>
-taking out the rubbish. (Fun, I know). I managed to put all the recycling in the 'garden waste' bin, so we had to tip it all back into the recycle bin. We then managed to race each other to the end of the driveway, without crashing.
-making super cool obento boxes out of rice and Malaysian take away leftovers. Our rice balls had faces ^_^
Day 2
-Jem had work and tutoring, so she got home sometime after 9pm. I managed to survive by myself, cooking pasta and watching The Biggest Loser while slowing going paranoid over small noises in the dark. (I live to close to the West, I really do).
Day 3
-Jem basketballed until 7pm, I dont remember what I did to entertain myself, but then we went out with her family for more Malaysian (the place next door to Monday's, funnily enough) learn't about flying reverends and now I want fried ice cream ALL THE TIME.
-Afterwards, watched Mystery Men and part of Boytown while eating popcorn.
Day 4
-Jem worked and babysat until after 10pm. (Beginning to feel a little antisocial,) I ate some casserole G'ma made and feared I'd accedently trapped a motorbike serial rapist in the backyard.
Day 5
-No school! Anzac Day. Had friends over while and after I was at work, made nachos and watched strange Japanese kids movie "Ge ge ge no Kitaro" where the hero attacks people with his hair and rides on magic cotton.
-Liza stayed overnight and I made her and Jem endure 2hrs of Elizabethtown before losing interest and swithcing to Invader Zim. "It's as Pastoolio wishes"
Day 6
-slept in, homeworked a little, fed Liz and then went to work. John's party at night. Baileys and Milk, best thing EVER. I cant believe I wasted all these years on milo..:Erica:.
