chapter 6 ^-^
*grins*
I just love cliff hangers don’t you?
Well in my last chapter I introduced Sebastian, the elf siding with vampires. ^^ I wanted to add an elf so that’s where the other M.C. came from!
*grins happily*
Sebastian! Sebastian! Sebastian!
*dances happily into the night*

I woke up, my head screaming into my ears as my muscles suddenly felt heavy and tired. My cold heart beats ferociously trying to maintain a constant amount of blood throughout my body. All around me whispers crept into my head. My head twisted and swam as they continued; only getting louder as my body fully awakened to the full extent of the situation.

“Is she alive? Dead?”

I bathed in confusion and pain, unable to stop the twin forces tearing at my insides, as I soon noticed where I was at for the first time. A dungeon. Twin trails of shackles ran from a wall to my ankles, binding me to this room with nothing more than a 5 foot long leash. My eyes fell to the cold and damp walls of the cell. They were bare, the whole room was bare. Yet these voices twisted and lurched in my brain.

“Death has called to her but she has refused his invitation to hell as if she could. She defies him but he will not forget about this for he has made her life as if she was among hell herself.”

I tried to stand but only to fall back onto the ground again. Sick with dizziness, my arms fell to my sides, too much in pain to move. My voice wanted to yell but the only thing I could hear was heavy breathing.

“She lies there suffering and untouched, forced to go through so much pain but soon she will be rewarded, her suffering noticed and acted upon. Maybe the time has come for her to learn the ways of the wise.”

I rolled onto my back, forcing the pain into the farthest regions of my mind. I lifted my hand into the air, covering my eyes from the dim light of the dungeon. Every muscle screamed, telling me to die but my conscience would not allow it.

“Bound to this earth, being everything but death itself, an angel of darkness and a demon of light, she is the rose of truth. Her beautiful white soul shrouded in the darkness that surrounds her. She can rule this realm but she is only destined to set it free from its cage.”

I tried to move once more, this time getting to my feet for half of a second before tumbling down onto the cold floor. I draged myself into a ball coughing up the precious blood I needed so much for survival. I pulled my arm to my mouth and wiped away the red liquid and whipped it onto my shirt screaming into the chaotic room, soon after flinching as the repercussion sound waves hammered against my head but slowly continued. “W-who are you? What do you want with me?”

“The vampire is no more.”

The voices continued in my head as I realized that’s all they were; in my head. I shrieked again as my body convulsed. “Stop!” A sob broke through my mouth as I realized that for the first time in a while tears dampened my face and burned my eyes. “What are you all talking about?”

“Now the child will be then what the others takes for granted, she will over power them. She is more than them. She can grow. She will grow.”

“W-what are you doing to me?” Whispering to the lonely cell, smaller shots of pain shot through my body as I stood to my feet. I stumbled over my own feet but caught my balance once again. I made my way dizzily to the wall where my shackled bound me.

“She will figure it out and escape this nightmare.”

I fell to the floor with the base of the shackles in front of me but just out of my reach. My head swayed under its own heaviness and my limbs cried out for forgiveness as the room circled around me but clumsily I reached for the chains and grabbed a firm hold on them. Ignoring the whispers and pain I pulled upon the chains, sitting myself up as I yanked. I listened carefully, letting my ears fall away from the noise of the empty room and surely enough the faintest of cracks rang in my ear. A smirk grew on my face even though I tipped and swayed alongside the spinning room. I took a deep intake of breath and heaved against my chains my arms became heavy in pain but still I pulled at the very things that bound me to this room, yelling into the room of empty sounds.

“No longer is she helpless. No longer will she stay put. She will learn. Then she will teach.”

The cement wall gained a visible crack.

“She will be strong. She will be untamable.”

I yelled again and the binds started to crack themselves along with the wall.

“Strength like a bear; beauty like a wild flower in bloom, but still the venom of a cobra.

I fell to the ground behind me as the shackles that kept me tied broke with a sudden wreck of noise. Pieces of metal and rock showered me, only bruising my body more but that did not matter; my body had become numb from all but the cold touch of the moist floor. I drifted into the black depths of sleep mumbling for hopes that death claims me now when the pain had finally stopped and the only ones to witness it were the ghost themselves. My eyelids slid closed as slumber claimed me and finally the last of the whispers came to a halt.

“Like a tiger, she will watch until the time to strike is present. Tiger, Tiger, the time is now.”
