our time on earth is so short
just a pause along lifes way
is this our very last one

as time slowly moves on
it trys to steal away
the memories i have of you
with the passing of everyday
i try to recall your scent
i smelled when you held me close
and the taste of your lips on mine
that day at our wedding toast
i want to remember your whisper
and your giggle as we lay in bed
forgetting the world outside
while wrapped in sheets of red
i struggle to fight this thief
i never want to forget
how much you meant to me
from the very first day that we met
the beauty i recall of you
in my mind forever I've froze
so fragile yet seems so alive
like the essence of a crystal rose..
