Name: Shadelord Omikron Age: Has had free will for four years. Height: 6'11" Weight: 341 lbs Body Type: Large and armoured. Place of Origin: The Void Profession: Defender of Syntaxis, Leader of the Yellow-Eyed Shades, general nice guy. Interests: Peace, Freedom, general non-persecution, fitting in Dislikes: Conflict, Excess Violence, The Forgotten, Crowds Extra Information: Omikron was a commander in the Forgotten’s army prior to regaining his free will. He’s developed self worth issues and a persecution complex due to this, and tries desperately to redeem himself for past actions. Often described as a teddy bear in the body of a sherman tank. Strength in Battle: Omikron is a tank. Armoured body and calm mind, coupled with careful swordplay and crushing blows. He doesn’t so much dodge as he blocks or just eats damage. Weakness in Battle: Surprisingly not extreme slowness. While he is slower than the average gaian swordsman/ninja/super fighter, his weakness more lies in his preference to pacifism. Regret or hesitation very well could get the better of him.
Key Attributes XXX+--> Toughness - Omikron is designed to take blows, both physical and magical. XXX+--> Strength - Omikron has no problem weild his weapon, or deceiving crushing blows. XXX+--> Composure - Omikron is not easily enraged or brought to recklessness.
Proficiencies XXX+--> Heavy Gauntlet, Master - Omikron can use his heavy gauntlet as if it was a part of him... Because it is. XXX+--> Heavy armour, Master - Omikron’s flesh is armour, thus he can move highly effectively in it. XXX+--> One-Handed Swords, Lvl. 5 - Omikron can effectively use a one-handed sword in his left hand.
Equipment: Natural Equipment: Armour Body XXX|--> Omikron is made out of a substance known as Forgotten Matter, an inky black substance created by the Forgotten to make its soldiers on Gaia. It behaves almost like a non-newtonion fluid, feeling almost soft to the touch but hardening into a very tough material when pressure is applied. Omikron looks like a suit of armour from the neck down, the forgotten matter of his body is designed in full and half plates to maximize its effectiveness. That said, as there is nothing under the armour, the joints are built in such a way to allow for movement conventional armour wouldn’t allow. While forgotten matter is strong as well as magically resistant, it does not mean a shade like Omikron is invincible. While it will deflect a slash like normal armour, a small amount of matter will liquify and “bleed”. Stabs will cause even more profuse liquefaction, as as strong spells. Even constant blunt attacks, or martial arts maneuvers will cause internal liquefaction. Just like someone loosing blood, Omikron will collapse after a certain amount of his matter liquifying as his body desperately attempts to keep him together.
Natural Equipment: Shadelord Gauntlet XXX|--> Omikron’s right arm is a fearsome creation. For one the thing is oversized even considering how large the shadelord is already, and then the black armour certainly looks like it would hurt. For this reason, Omikron’s prime weapon is this arm more than his sword. Firstly it seems to be the focal point of his great strength, allowing him to deliver sundering blows as well as lift things with little problem. Secondly, it’s even more armoured then the rest of his body, not only putting more weight behind blows but also allowing it to act as a shield. Of course the large hand with pointed fingers is just as clumsy with delicate tasks as anyone would imagine. Not to mention that the seer size of the hand makes wielding most weapons very difficult.
Equipment: Shadesteel Longsword XXX|--> For all intents and purposes Omikron carries a completely normal longsword, which he wields in his left hand. It just so happens to be made of shadesteel, an alloy created by blending forgotten matter with a selection of ores. This adds a good deal of durability to the blade, as well as minor magical resistance. It also grants it a darker colour that matches Omikron himself!
Equipment: Big and Tall Street Clothing XXX|--> Omikron is an odd looking sort. Beyond the whole body made out of armour thing, Omikron does not have a face. Rather he only has a single large yellow eye. Strangely enough Omikron is ashamed of his armoured cycloptic visage and wishes not to frighten anyone with it. Thus he has purchased a large grey coat, and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt to conceal his identify. This of course looks slightly silly. The coat is made for a very fat and very tall man to accommodate all his armoured bulk as well as the arm. The sweater did not fare so well, as the shadelord had to cut out the right sleeve to make room for the gauntlet. The hood, thanks to plot magic, conceals any facial features when up.
Omikron has yet to find any luck with pants.
Abilities:
Armour Soul XXX|--> Omikron’s existence boils down to a soul in a semi-liquid armour puppet. That is something he has found he can take advantage of. If Omikron takes no offensive action in a post, he may opt to activate Armour Soul. This allows him to consciously strengthen and reinforce his flesh paying careful attention to where his foes blows will land. This effectively makes him take less “bleed” damage from liquefaction, or unbalance his opponent as their blow rings off of him.
It should be noted, attempting to break a grapple or snare counts as an offensive action.
Immovable Object XXX|--> Omikron’s gauntlet is already a force to be reckoned with, but it also has a very particular way of interacting with magical forces. Rather than dissipating magical forces, the gauntlet treats them as if the magical force had copreal form. For example, let us say a mage tosses a fireball at Omikron. Omikron could use the gauntlet to bat the fireball away or even grab it out of the air. Of course this is just assuming a low powered fireball. Let us now say a powerful mage fires a powerful beam at Omikron. Let us also say his friend would be hit by the beam if he dodged. Omikron would likely brace himself and attempt to hold back the beam with his gauntlet. Eventually either the spell would overcome him, or the mage would exhaust themselves maintaining the beam. Even so, some liquefaction would likely happen.
