Jack and Jill...a beloved nursery rhyme. My current version is slightly...okay, completely...different.
Jill has known jack for...well...a long time now. They're just friends, of course, but there's just one problem. She be alone with him or next to him without want to take his hand. She would do it one day if he hadn't already clearly told her tyhat he wasn't interested. He was never interested. But...she couldn't help but think, hope even, that he had changed his mind in the past few years. She wants to ask him again, or even just let him know.
And I know the story isn't detailed, but Jack wouldn't want the details in there. Now here's the complicated part. I don't have an ending. Only Jack has the ending.
So what do you say, Jack? How does it end?
Do they try to go up that hill together, trying to change the ending? Or is Jill left thirsty as ever, without a pail of water?
P.S. I hope it's the first choice, but with the reality of the second ending, I'll just assume it's that unless Jack tell's me otherwise. If I'm right, Jack, don't bother telling me. And don't worry, I'll go on acting thesame way, pretending you don't mean more to me. It'll be fine. After all, I've done it for years now.
