Because i'm overdramatic, I wrote this to break up with an ex of mine. It's one of my favorites, even though it's not very happy.





~Crushed Cherry Blossoms~

Wishing upon a broken sky for a miracle,things will never change
For you see our perfect relationship is now distant and strange
I'm afraid our cherry blossom isn't the cherry tree it was intended to be
Instead it was crushed under the weight of my heart's yearning to be set free

From mustering up the courage to ask you to be mine for life
To writing poems about you being my ideal wife
I never stopped loving you but I fell out love if that makes sense
I'm sorry but I refuse to be with you under a false pretense

So right now I'm putting this struggling seed to eternal rest
I can honestly say our bouquet of love was one of the best
It had a good life while it lasted but all flowers must wither and die
So I say this with a heavy heart and a tearing eye
