Weekly Top 5 Music List
Hello Gaia! i realise that a few of you are in fact, reading this journal, either that or my two friends have read the same posts multi times, oh well, either way ive decided to use this journal to send a message. it seems in todays modern era, alot of music is either stupid pop, or strange rap. the rock bands of today mostly arent good, are though there are a few that are, ive decided to reach into my large bag of music and pull out a few songs that youve all probally never heard, every week i will list 5 songs and the reasons why they are great, for all to read

NOTE: Some artists may pop up more than once on each list, yes i have my prefences and wont take requests, and you probally wont see popular songs here, just ones that i personally feel havent really been noticed by people, expect alot from the 70s and 80s here.

1. Out of the Silent Planet by Iron Maiden

Off of the Brave New World album, this song is a near perfect musical representaion of the book Out of the Silent Planet, which is about Aliens using up the resources on their planet and killing it, then deciding to target Earth and harvest its Resources.

2. Eulogy by Judas Priest

Like their earlier hit "Breaking the Law" this song is short, only around 2 minutes long, however, upon listening to it, this slow, haunting melody will sound to last even longer than it does, and leaves a small chill down your spine. Coming from the album "Angel of Retribution" which features the return of the Judas Priest "Messiah" Angel from the albums "Sad Wings of Destiny" and "Painkiller"When asked what the song meant, Lead Singer Rob Halford stated that "Its a Eulogy, its ending the saga of the Messiah Angel for good and making a tribute to him and what he represented"

3. Never gonna give you Up by Rick Astley

The ULTIMATE love song, bar none. End of Story

4. The Ballad of Dwight Fry by Alice Cooper

Ill keep these last two short. This is a almost scary song about a man who is basically going completly insane. The song isnt bad, but the live perfomance is incredibly well done, especially with Alice Cooper in the straight jacket histarlically whispering, then saying, the screaming "I gotta get outta here!"

5. Pachendale by Iron Maiden

This song, a 8 minute master piece of the "Dance of Death" album, is not only a great song for rockers, but for history buffs as well, considering that the song is about the battle of Pachendale from World War 1 between German forces and Allied Forces. Showing the battle from a young allied soilders point of view, this song is guarenteed to make people feel almost as if they are in the battle itself, with the lyrics creating pictures in your mind, thanks to the amazing talent of the "Human Air Siren" Bruce Dickenson. a must hear for Both people who love metal, rock, and Iron Maiden, and War History experts wanting to learn and listen to music at the same time

SPECIAL NOTE! FOR ANYONE WHO READS THIS AND LISTENS TO THESE SONGS, PM ME A MESSAGE ABOUT WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF EACH SONG AND HOW YOU INTEREPETED IT, THE FIRST ONE TO DO SO WILL RECIEVE A SPECIAL GAIA GIFT FROM MYSELF!
