The Beginning (Pages 1-10)

Important Details (For those to lazy to read the Story Summary):

~ There are three shop owners, Hanako, Saya and Beatrix.
~ Saya enjoys working in her garden.
~ Hanako and Beatrix are both light sensitive.
~ Hanako can control magic and does so often.
~ Cealdia is an alcoholic.
~ Cealdia has a fear of dragons dispite being part one herself.

Story Summary:

Our story begins with the introduction of our three tavern/inn owners. Hanako, a young mage, enters the scene through her magic door. Excited to see the completion of their inn. She inspections the kitchen before moving out to the tavern to start on a book. Meanwhile Saya walks in from the courtyard. She notices Hanako and comments to her about her gardening plans. Upon hearing that the mage summoned up some seeds for her friend. Satified with the seeds Saya gathers up some an armful of jars. She takes the jars and seeds out to her garden. Unable to close the doors she passed through she ask Hanako for some help. Annoyed the girl helps her commenting, “You shouldn't use my magic for things that you know you can do yourself. Otherwise, you'll get it in the end. At least, the other owner doesn't treat me like I'm some pet.” Saya begins setting up summoning her demon, a silver dragon to aid her. She tended lovingly to her plants. Saya also planted in the soil a sign that read “Saya's Herbs: Do Not Pick Without Permission”.
Dissatisfied with her book she returned to her magic door in the kitchen and threw her book through it. She then settled down and began to prepare a large batch of muffins. After a couple hours the muffins were finished. She placed them up on the window that separated the tavern and the kitchen. To reward herself she pour a glass of wine. She then began to consume it.

Hanako greeted Saya out in the courtyard with her watering pale in one hand wine glass in the other. Though they had just fix up the building it still had a small gnome problem. The little buggers resided in Saya's closet. The two began to chat, first about the gnome and then about the water to be used on the plants. We learned that Hanako is some what light sensitive.

Beatrix, the third and final owner, awoke during the middle of the day. She made her way down to the tavern, trying to avoid direct natural light if possible. The drow walked behind her counter before inspecting the room. It was then that she noticed Hanako and questioned why she was not working. Hesitantly the door opened to reveal Cealdia. She inspected the room for it inhabitants. Finding only the two owners she entered jumping a little as the door closed behind her. She quietly took a seat at the bar. "Welcome maelthra dalhar", said the drow, "You looked a little lost coming in. Anything I can get for you today?" Beatrix grabbed a glass from beneath the counter and placed it before the girl. She weakly smiled studying the woman's enthusiasm before requesting a goat.Hanako suddenly entered the room from the kitchen balancing a pile of books. Beatrix was busy searching her liquor collection. She jumped a little as Hanako walked passed her cursing as she did. The drow gave the girl a drink on the house as she walked back into the kitchen for orange juice. Cealdia smiled at the phrase 'on the house' and thanked the drow. She enjoyed getting free alcohol when she could.

Silverstreak, Saya's demon, entered the tavern taking a seat next to Cealdia at the bar. The dragon girl looked nervously at the little creature. It wasn't too long before Beatrix returned with the needed ingredient in her arms. She prepared the girls drink and turned it over to her. Beatrix then asked the girl where she was from. Her answer was postponed as Saya entered the room scolding the little dragon for bother Cealdia.
