I figure, it's my first blog about something on the new account. So, let's start easy.
It's just a simple music review. Fun, right?
News on My Chemical Romance is scarce right now, but from the most recent interview with Gerard Way, we finally get some information. Gerard and Mikey are both working in the comic book industry. Who would have thought that both brothers would end up in the same business. stare Was I the only one who saw this coming? Ray Toro has married his long time girlfriend, Christa. Congratulations to the happy couple. biggrin Frank Iero has just finished the Reggie & The Full Effect tour with his band Leathermouth. I didn't get to go, but I heard it was great. And who could forget our wonderful Bob Bryar, who is recovering fantastically well from a wrist surgery. If he so much as picks up a pair of drum sticks before his doctors say it's okay to play, I will go to Chicago and kick his a**. Gerard says they hope to get together sometime and make some demos. Gerard is slowly, but surely coming up with new lyrics. But who knows what will happen? Maybe they will be on hiatus for three freaking years like Panic At The Disco.
Speaking of Panic At The Disco, I've heard that Jon is now single? Don't know if that's true. Ryan and Spencer still have their respective girls, and Brendon is still the only one the world knows is single for sure. They are working on a new music video for 'Northern Downpour'. Somehow, it's supposed to be about Brendon's single life? Some of the rumors going around about that are absolutely insane. But it is going to be about Brendon's single life. There also may be some fire involved. eek Fire? In a new Panic video? No waaaaay.
Fall Out Boy has a new single out. It's called 'I Don't Care', and let me tell you right now. It's probably the best Fall Out Boy song in existence. That's just one person's opinion though. Their new CD, Folie A Deux, is set to come out on November 4th. Election day! Hurrah! 'I Don't Care' and possible Fall Out Boy themselves will be in the new movie about to come out, SexDrive. It's supposed to be really funny, so go take a sneak peek and tell me how it is.
Moving onto The Used. Yes, The Used is currently in the recording studio and according to them, they are the most excited they have been about an album since their self-titled one back in 2002. That must be some really good stuff. Dan and Quinn have also stated that they are 3/4 done with the CD and all of them hope to release it in either January or February. Dates for their new world tour should be posted around that time as well. I plan to go. What about you? Dan and Quinn will also be at one of the Hollywood Clubs playing music they hate (their words, not mine), so if you know where they are, go check it out. It's a friday, so don't be a p***y. (Also their words)
Family Force 5 is back in full swing after a short break! Releasing a new album and finishing up Warped Tour in August, the Force and their crew deserved a break to be with their families. The new album, Dance Or Die is absolutely incredible. If you haven't heard it yet, check it out. It makes you want to 'dance or die'. Now, they are back on the Dance Rawr Dance 2 tour, which I also hope to be attending in October in Pittsburgh.
This concludes my short music review.
