Well I finally decided to get myself a journal. It cost me my whole piggy bank savings. Well, I guess that I should start now...
Dear Journal,
My name is Alinka and I am seven years old.... I think. I am a Haibane. I was reborn after I died, and I cannot remember anything about my life before. I don't let it get to me though. Worrying over a memory of your old family that isn't there anymore, is a waste of time. Anyways, I was reborn into the city of Glie, a nice place except for the very high walls that surround it with that gigantic iron gate. There were more Haibanes like me there and we lived at an old abandoned school. The men, they wore long brown robes and wore masks to hide their faces, wouldn't let us out iof the city. but I escaped. I felt like a crow in a cage with the blanket thrown over it... A crow, you ask? It just came to mind. I remember having a dream with a crow, but that's a story for another time.
