I was thinking about hell, when I realised that there is no way for satan to keep a perfect system of unimaginable torment. The concept goes something like this: If Satan tortures you horribly one day and even worse the next day then you will be able to say 'Hey, maybe tomorrow won't be so bad". And if he makes the levels of punishment random for every day then you will still have a hope that today won't be so bad, Satan hates hope. If the amount of pain increases each day then you will like the first day of hell better than the rest and maybe even wish you were back in that point of time instead of at the immense suffering which you are in currently. And if hell is one long day for eternity then you could still wish you were back at the beginning of the day instead of at the eternal 'noon'.
I'm telling you, satan has his work cut out for him.
