I shall write about it here, then read it back and laugh at myself, then feel better.

So the elections are next weekend or something, but I'm absolutely 100% politics ignorant, so I've been avoiding the whole thing.
Anyway, apparently if you miss the enrollment due date you get fined, so down I went today to get the stupid form.
I asked at the post office, they sent me to the library. I got some books then they sent me next door the local council. (who would've thought, that the form to enroll to vote in the upcoming local election would be at the local council?! Fool.)

Alrighty, so I went to the council, starting to feel pretty stupid. They directed me into a room.
Man: -glances at my penguin jumper and Tamora Pierce books- (clearly, I look about 4 years off being old enough to vote) uh, are you here to vote?
Me: I need to enroll...
and I'm directed into another room, where some guy who looks way too cool to know about voting is sitting near some boxes.
Guy: -glances at penguin jumper and tracksuit pants- ...are you here to vote?
Me: Um, no. I need to enroll.
He hands me a form and I thank him and turn to go.
Me: Oh wait, when's this due...? ^^;
Guy: -staring at my books- You're too late for this election
( stressed )
but don't worry you won't get fined.
Me: right. ...thanks. -runs-
I then hurried out past all the smart, educated, responsible adults and ran out the door. Forgetting to say thanks as I tried feel less stupid, and less primary school.
I refuse to go in there ever again.
