Bah. Once again, after writing a journal entry, it didn't post for some reason and I lost it all. Oh well, try again.

Tonight, or last night at this point XD we had our staff christmas party! As always, it was a ton of fun. Our manager does an awesome job of organizing the party to make it more exciting than just dinner and socializing. Which would be more than enough, but it's fun to have some other things going on.

Dinner was postponed, which was convenient for us because Dani and I were a little late, so we had more time to greet everyone before attacking the meal. Which was delicious. Before and after dinner were a number of christmas-themed contests, like unscrambling christmas carol titles and such, with prizes for the table that won.

Off to the side was the prize table, which had a number of items that were to be raffled off. Some crappy prizes, golf shirts or backpacks; some decent prizes, gift baskets and such; and some nice prizes, an iPod, and the grand prize of an xbox 360. The cool thing about the raffle is that all the money that comes in gets raffled off as well, in increments of $100, which ended up being over $800 total. Each year we put in $50 with the hopes of winning $100, and so far we've been successful every time. This time, we won a gift basket, $100, and Dani's couple of extra tickets purchased on a whim ended up winning the grand prize. It was very unexpected.

Great dinner, great fun, great company, it was a very satisfying evening.

I don't want to jinx it, but maybe it won't be too difficult after all to update semi-frequently. Although there hasn't been anything particularly thought-provoking yet... I'll work on it.
