YES, FULL MOON TONIGHT! I'M HYPER AS HECK BECAUSE OF IT!!! I ADORE THE FULL MOON! oh, yeah, new story. hehe, it's funny how on nights like this hyperness comes first and story comes second, that never happens any other night anyway, new story for you all to read and comment on (PLEASE COMMENT MY FRIENDS!). it is simply Rose's story, since she is the one telling most of it, i hope i can find a more interesting title soon. (dan, heather, help! i hate trying to think of titles). anyway, here is the first part of Rose's Story.
Rose's story Part one: The Beginning About the year 1450 there was a man of power named Marius Romanius. Venice was his city, and he ruled it in class, clad in red velvet as dark as blood itself. Despite his riches, the man was incredibly kind and wise, as well as beautiful. Yes, it was indeed possible for a man beautiful, for this man had an angelic face too perfect to be human and features most would not believe. he had shoulder length light blonde hair and glacial blue eyes. He also had the palest skin your eyes could ever even consider, he seemed too perfect to be a mear human. Those who have known him for years age around him, but this perfect man never aged. He never had a wrinkle, even as the decades passed, never showed the slightest sign of the passage of time. His hair remained the same light gold, not a single grey hair ever streaked the amazing locks that seemed to call you to run your fingers through. This man, who appeared to be an angel sent to earth, took on apprentices, teaching them, housing and feeding them, sending them off to school when they are old enough. He took in four such children one day, never knowing what they would someday mean to him. Their names were Ash, Smoke, Thorn, and Rose. Ash was a native of the powerful city of Rome, the only boy in the group at age twelve. He was as dark as the master Marius was light, with his jet black, curley hair and dark brown eyes. His skin was nearly as pale as the master's own. Thorn and rose were sisters, and although they acted very much alike they LOOKED COMPLETLY DIFFERENT. Thorn had the palest blonde hair, and bright green eyes with the shared pale skin of the master and Ash, so true to her native Sicily. Rose was the exact opposite. Her hair was an incredibly dark shade of brown, wavy and wild while Thorn's was straight and tame. Her eyes were big and brown, and she had olive skin. Two sisters that were as different as day and night. Marius chose favorites, and altough there were many other apprentices these four soon became his favorites. Soon he showered all of them with special attention, espicially Rose. He taught Thorn all he knew about painting, letting her creativity take hold. To Ash he gave immense materal on history and philosophy, which the boy learned to love as time went on. Smoke did odd jobs and took care of everyone when the master was not around. This was her choice, not his. But Rose, Rose was the writer. She alone was allowed to use her master's giant, leather bound journal for her work, she alone was allowed to read his entries as he read hers. The children continued to grow and learn under kind master Marius. Out of all the children, who soon grew into teenagers, his favorite was Rose. He doted on her, and shared his secrets with her as she did with him. As she grew close to him she grew close to Ash as well, who developed a fondness for her. So did master Marius. At grand parties the master held the two sisters were dressed beautifully. Thorn took a fondness to the master's own favorite blood red, while her sister chose the color contrast of black and white, showing off her dark hair and eyes. Thorn became a friend with Armand and Lestat, who at the time were even younger than she. Both soon fell for the beautiful light girl who wore dark colors. Lestat took to her immensly and taught her to play the violin. He and her would often play together at these parties, him on piano, her on violin, while Marius and Rose sang together. Their voices blended perfectly as they sang The Blackest Rose, more to eachother than to everyone else. At one point Marius would drop out so he could listen to Rose's voice sing the familiar lyrics that she still knows to this day. Ash would stand there and watch as the two sang to eachother, often makeing something (or someone) burst into flames with his anger. Time passed as they grew older, the girls reached the age of seventeen and Ash became eighteen. Eventually, Rose grew very ill. The girl was always going out at night, long after the others were asleep. She would wander into many a bar and simply stand infront of the croud, asking anyone with an instrument to start playing, She would jump in and sing some tune. On one of these nights she caught the eye of a visiting english lord, who wanted nothing but to see what lay under the elegant dresses she wore. He cornered her as she left, intending to take her back to his home. She refused to go with him and pulled away from him, but he managed to slash her on the arm with his dagger as she ran. She managed to get back to her home, and collapsed in the master's bed as she'd done many a time in the past. He was away, seeing to an ancient secret he refused to tell even her. As she fell into a troubled sleep the wound swelled, and a fever overtook her. She awoke about halfway through the next morning with a cool cloth on her head, the sounds of Ash and Thorn crying breaking through her clouded hearing. Each held one of her hands, and she wispered to them in a weak voice not to cry over as the fever claimed again. She woke again to the sound of crying during the night, only this time it wasn't Thorn or Ash. "Master...", her voice was barely a whisper as she opened her eyes and looked into his deep blue ones, tears falling down his face. "Do not cry, master. As long as you are here I will be alright..." Her voice trailed off, and she saw Thorn once again burst into tears, hideing in a corner to give them some privacy. He held her hand and stroke it tenderly, then brushed her hair away from her face. "No...I am sorry child." his voice broke, she had never seen him this way before. "Not even I can save you... Please...dearest one, hold on." Her eyes closed again, and her breaths became heavy. Marius squeezed her hand tighter as he stood, his voice erupting in rage. "This is not fair! I do my duties, leaving for but a day, and return to find her in this state! How dare someone harm her, how dare they try and take her from me!" His gaze turned to the sky, towards heaven, as he continued screaming. "She did nothing wrong! All she did was exist and protect, love and write! How dare you, you who are suppost to protect us all, how dare you try and take this angel come to earth!" Rose gasping for breath brought his attention back to her, as she squeezed his hand in pain. He looked down at her. "Tell me child, what do you think of me? Do you think I am a normal human like everyone else?" She looked at him with her glazed over eyes, she spoke with a voice that was smoothe and oddly serene. "How can I describe you, master? You can not describe perfection, and you are perfection itself. You do not age, we all know this, and you are only around at night. You ask me if I think you are a normal human? No, I do not. What you are exactly I do not know, but you are no ordinary human, and I would not want it any other way. You are simply master Marius, our protector, our teacher. Why would we destroy the image of our protector by over analizing things and trying to figure out exactly what you are?" He listened as she spoke, nodding along. "Tell me, child, could you bear to live like me? Could you live a life of lonelyness, never seeing the sun again and liveing forever while the ones you love grow old and die around you? Could you stand that fate, Rose? could you really give up your life in the sun, with your sister and friends?" "Do you honestly have to ask me that, Marius? My home is wherever my master is. I can watch over my friends from a far if it means liveing and being able to still see your face each night." He smiled, revealing two pointed fangs, asking a final time if she was sure about this. She nodded, and closed her eyes as she felt a slight pain in her neck. It felt like her very life was being sucked out of her. faintly in the backround she heard Ash yelling for Marius to get off her, heard Thorn sobbing that he was killing me faster. "Drink." The word appeared in my mind, his voice giveing it force. "Drink, young one." I sat up slowly and bit down on his neck, finding the artery and slowly drinking the blood. I heard both my dear friends gasp as I pulled away, our master's blood dripping down my face and onto the white night gown I wore. I smiled, revealing two pointed vampire fangs. "What have you done to her, master? Have you made her into a monster?" Ash's voice was full of pain as his gaze locked with Rose's, his whole body shakeing with anger. "Yes..I am afraid so, Ash. For in order for her to live the mortal part of her must die away, she is like me now. She will live on the blood of others and have no need to eat. She will live by night, visiting when she can. Not much has changed about this fair child, though. She is still the rose you know and love, only with much more strength that you can ever imagine." "b*****d! how could you do this? Doing this to her is like takeing her from us, killing her before our very eyes! How could you turn her into a creature that must kill? She's so gentle, now she must kill to survive. You condemn the one you and I both care about most to death!" The master growled at him and lifted him up by his neck. "Don't you dare say such things to me, foolish mortal. I would never have put dearest Rose through this fate if there was anyone ofther way, but there isn't! The girl would have died here and now without my help, and neither of our hearts can take that. it is better this way, she can survive this way and live for all eternity. She pretty much lived by night." He dropped ash and glared at him. Rose got out of bed with an unbelievable grace and knelt down next to Ash, wrapping her arms around him. Her body was so cool, and her skin was paler than normal. "It's true Ash..at least this way I'm alive, I'm still around. I can run my fingers through your hair and listen to you sing at night, listen as you sing my song, or read a story complete with the voices for each character. I can survive, and I can protect the two people I care most about." Tears filled Ash's eyes. "Might...I chime in?" Thorn came out of her corner. "I wish to join my sister, to become what she is. She's still my LITTLE sister...." Marius only nodded with simpathetic eyes. He slowly moved away from rose and wrapped his arms around Thorn, then bent down and gave her the special kiss, makeing her one of his own. Ash would have ripped him to shreads were not Rose there with her arms around him to hold him still. "If this must happen to these two then it will happen to me as well!" His voice was strong and defiant, one of those tones that begged any creature to even try and stand up to him. Marius only nodded, weary from loosing so much blood in one night. "Fine child, if that is your wish than that is how it shall be. But I warn you, we will have eternity to argue over the child's heart now. You will be my fledgling and have no choice but to learn from me, or be killed by one as old as me who has a taste for young blood drinkers." For once in his existance he looked old and weary. You could see slight wrinkles in the corners of his eyes as he looked at Ash. "I will change you, my student, but not tonight. I have already done too much, even for one of my age and strength. I need to feed, and I need to rest. Have patience, Ash, see the sun one last time while we three sleep in coffins I long ago prepared." Ash nodded and gave up his fight. For this group of four this was the beginning of a long and difficult journey. Oh the things they could do, the places they could see, these thoughts wizzed through their heads as they fell asleep the first night after their creation. Rose's coffin had been prepared the night Marius met her, but she gave it up to her sister. Marius's own stone coffin was big enough for two. The two of them curled up on the blood red velved padding. They quickly fell asleep, wrapped in eachother's arms, wondering what the night would bring.
