butterflies stagger through the air
as if they are being held down
by a weight they cannot control
yet they still are flying
because they can
to get to the next flower
where they can rest
and be nurished.
The patterns on their wings
different colors
different beauty
and different types
but they are all
butterflies.
not so different
from us humans really
we stagger through life
and we have times to rest.
we are all different colors
and we have different ways
but looking at everything
and putting all of them together
all you get is one word
