STORY OF A DREAM
Let me tell you the story in the form of a dream,
I don't know why I have to tell it, but I know what it means,
Close your eyes, just picture the scene,
And all you can hear is a scream, a screech
And a smash of glass, a door slams back
All is black, but a dim sort of light
Its simply a fight, no victim, it aint right
Five o’clock in the morning, still night
Keep it up, keep it tight
This has happened before,
Close your eyes, lay to the floor
Wasn’t enough room in the house for you no more
Close your eyes, back is sore, this will happen only once more
There is no real dad, a crazy mom,
And sisters screaming and 2 loud stomps,
Now cover up, hide and wait,
For the night to go back to quiet state,
Six o’clock, still no sleep,
And we can only wish that this is a dream,
Glass breaks, one more thud,
And someone’s standing point blank with a gun,
Close your eyes, go to sleep,
We’ll hope and pray that this is a dream
Things go quiet, bang, someone’s gone
Keep quiet, stay strong, this always happens, but life goes on
Seven o’clock, and things aren’t the same,
Sirens howled, and police officers came
Questions asked, but I didn’t reply,
Cause my head was spinnin for quiet time,
Days passed by, and the funeral was ******** boring,
And there’s no more waking up early in the morning
