This time i'm talking about an island. Not Lost's island, not Hawaii, the one I bring here is you. Yes, you the person reading this, you the person that don't even knows what internet is, you whoever you are.
Islands are just a big bunch of earth lost over sea, people are quite the same. Islands need living things to grow, people need it too. Islands "die" when they're mistreated, people die when they're mistreated.
People live together, people die alone.
All the connections you make through your life are just attempts to have some inhabitants in your desert soul. Without them you would grow to an (using zOMG here) Animated, a lifeless thing living. Although
this connections happen everyday, and all of them give something to you - be it worthless or valuable - they are lost every time. You have friends, you have a lover, you have a family, you even have that person you see from time to time in the same bus you're on. But you don't have them. They disappoint you, they leave you, they get out of the bus. You aren't able to change that, the only thing you can do is make yourself stronger, thicker, harder to break. Make your heart be like a volcano that every time it eruptes, it wipes out every threat and gives you a new layer, not to repel new visitants, but to make them seek harder for a soft spot, that might make them worth.
